Christian and vegetarianism (Man{\crq}s relation to the creation in context of meat consummation)
JÁCHIM, Petr
My thesis is about man{\crq}s relation to the creation in context of meat consummation. The approach to the issue is from the Christian point of view and the thesis wants to find answer to the question whether Christian should be vegetarian. First chapter draws from Biblical texts and brings testimony from Old and New Testament in respect to vegetarianism. Very significant is Biblical story about Creation which determines role of the man and his relation to other creation, including animals. Second chapter is about vegetarianism in history and present time. It describes evolution of modern vegetarianism, approach to meat consummation in history and reasons that lead individuals to this type of feeding. The third chapter considers Christian approach to creation and ethical relation to animals. The attitude toward vegetarianism is derived from relationship between Christian and God{\crq}s creation.
