BŘECLAV - TRANSFORMATION AND REVITALIZATION OF THE LOCATION OF PODZÁMČÍ
Bártík, Martin ; Bařinka, Karel (referee) ; Havliš, Karel (advisor)
The first part of the bachelor thesis deals with the transformation and revitalization of the defined area of the town of Břeclav, located in the eastern part of the Břeclav centre, in the east of Charvatská Nová Ves and Poštorná. It is the area north of the 1st May Avenue. The aim of the first part of the work is to urbanistically evaluate and make attractive the form and diversity of the place with the appearance of new possible activities with a sense of the local fondness for cycling and to elevate the spaces that are so important for Břeclav. Furthermore, to interlink the proposed activities and to connect them seamlessly to the surrounding development with a sense of the wider regional relationships. In the defined area, these are the spaces in front of the city castle, where festivals and other social events are held in the summer, around the ice rink, between supermarkets forming "one big parking lot" and also the 1st May Avenue itself, which has become a transit road dividing the Břeclav part of the city into two halves. The second part deals with the transformation and revitalization of the Tereza ice rink. The running and operation of the ice rink is dealing with the current energy crisis, which has resulted in increased costs for the maintenance of the ice surface. The solution to these problems does not only lie in the proposal to reduce energy consumption, finding new uses in the summer season, but is also closely linked to the cultivation of other parts surrounding the rink.
