The goal of the submitted thesis "Tourism in the most attractive tourist destinations of Latin America (Mexico and the Caribbean)" is to describe and analyze the tourism in Latin America. The thesis focuses on the problems of the tourism development in this area in the second half of the 20th century until today. In the first part the thesis submits the theoretic introduction to the problem of tourism and its history and also deals with international tourism. Then it describes the tourism in all regions of Latin America. In the last part are closely analyzed the development, the importance and the contemporary stage of tourism in some chosen countries of Latin America: Mexico, Dominican Republic and Cuba.
