Rajniakova, V. The impact of trade unions on labour market in selected OECD countries. Bachelor thesis. Brno: Mendel University, 2018. The aim of this bachelor’s thesis is to define and examine the relationship which exists between trade unions and labour market indicators, with the emphasis on unemployment. On the basis of defined indicators representing trade unions’ power, the economic impact of trade unions is analysed, which is rather ambiguous according to various studies and so effect of trade unions on labour market can vary in different countries. Results of empiric analysis of panel data, which were obtained and presented in the second part of thesis, validate the fact that relationship between trade unions and unemployment is different for particular groups of countries based on the type of their social system where power of trade unions is distinct from one another.
