Holý, Ondřej ; Musil, Jiří (advisor) ; Dyčka, Michal (referee)
The primary goal of this bachelor's thesis is the study and description of military operations run by the Roman army in the province of Britannia from the year 77 a.c. until 211 a.c. which led to the introduction of limits (limes Romanus) in the area, mostly due to written, primarily archeological, causes. In the following chapters the individual military operations are described in detail and in context with the locations which archeologically show the Romans' presence, foremost thanks to fortifications built in the province of Britannia during the aforementioned time period.
