Pěruška, Matouš ; ČEPICKÝ, Leoš (advisor) ; PANOCHA, Jiří (referee)
There have been numerous texts written about Eugene Ysaÿe. In my thesis, I will try to show that although in his six sonatas for solo violin op. 27, there are all the information necessary to play the sonatas well, however, he still leaves the interprets an infinite number of possibilities how to show their fantasy. Also, I will try to give an insight into the period of the famous Belgian violinist, especially from the violin’s point of view. He set the bar so high, it will be very difficult to surpass.
