The Influence of Motional Activities on the Life of People with Physical Disabilities

The purpose of this Bachelor's thesis is to describe the inuence of physical activities on people with physical disabilities on their physical and mental health and their socialization. A physical disability is a limitation on a person's physical functioning and mobility. It can be divided into several groups (polio, deformation, malformation, amputation or combined disability). Physical activities of people with physical disabilities are generally benecial as they positively inuence peoples mental health and socialization and may also avoid the formation of new health problems. People with physical disabilities can either join the Paralympic federation and participate in competitive sport or join other associations and clubs to participate in a physical activities just for joy and health benets. A quantitative survey was conducted and displayed graphically. The respondents were physically active people with physical disabilities from the Czech Republic. The goal of the questionnaire was to describe the inuence of physical activity on physical and mental health and socialization of physically disabled people. The correlation between dierent physical activities and magnitude of benecial eects was also studied. As a result, physical activities had an overall positive eect on physical and mental health, there were minimum negative eects. No correlation between the physical activity and the magnitude of eects was observed. The results of this thesis can serve as an informational source of suitable and unsuitable physical activities and inuence of physical activities on physically disabled people.
