Unemployment of university graduates in Prague

Bachelor thesis Unemployment of university graduates in Prague is divided into theoretical and analytical part. In theoretical part are explained and described basic terms connected with unemployment. Analytical part is focused on development of unemployment in Prague since 2000 to 2014. In the second part is also examined unemployment in Prague in relation to gender and education. Next point of this part is also comparing rate of unemployment university graduates of public university in Prague. The last section of bachelor thesis is a practical part, where the survey was processed. The aim of the survey is to discover who had to go after graduation to job centre and what was the main reason, if respondents worked during their study and if it was for them advantage. The analysis showed that in comparison to other regions in the Czech Republic, Prague has the lowest unemployment rate (5,27 % in 2014). It was also found out that there is higher unemployment between women than men. The analysis of unemployment rates by education showed that the best perspective on the labor market have graduates (1,7 %) and the worst people with basic education (13,73 %). Surveys showed that the most common reason for unemployment between university graduates is insufficient work experience.
