These features include the new system of capturing of development of variety during the time of year and the system of overall evaluation of varieties using the defining parameters (not only the subjective evaluation). This methodology is the main output of this thesis. The methodology was tested on a range of the genus Hemerocallis L. in the complex of Faculty of Horticulture in Lednice, Mendel University in Brno. According gained experience from the field the methodology has been improved and amended. The methodology was developed to combine the efficiency and accuracy of selecting varieties with good economy of evaluation. It is also useful for a wide range of taxa (after modification). If the methodology will be applied in the future, it will be possible to use it to select the most suitable varieties for the landscape architecture objects.
