The analysis of selected indicators and their influence on the socio-economic development of Kenya
Bogdálková, Sabrina
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyse and discuss influence of education, health and population growth on the socio-economic development of Kenya. The first part describes general characteristics of development, developing world, poverty and selected indicators. The main work is focused on the analysis of impact of health, population growth and education on Kenya's development, while statistical methods as correlation and trend line are used. The results show that there is a strong connection between these three indicators, as education has positive impact on health and population growth in Kenya. Education not only helps to decrease HIV prevalence, but has also positive impact on teenage pregnancy and fertility rate. On the other hand population growth is an obstacle for future development of Kenya.
