Individual planning in terms of low-threshold devices for children and youth

This bachelor's thesis deals with individual planning in low-threshold facilities for children and youth. The main goal is to compare individual planning in several low-threshold facilities for children and youth. The topic of my thesis I have chosen for several reasons. The first reason for me was the interest of the target group of children and youth whom I would like to work with in the future. My interest led me to the completion of practice in low-threshold facilities for children and youth Zastávka in Telč where I could check my theoretical knowledge and get a look "behind the scenes" of what this social service is related to. The theme of this thesis was selected after the interview with social worker in the second low-threshold facility for children and youth as he said that it was the individual planning in low-threshold facilities for children and youth where where the main problems are. This thesis is divided into a theoretical part and a practical part. The aim of the study was to compare individual planning in several low-threshold facilities for children and youth. In my research, I tried to summarized data that would provide answers to the research questions. With the help of interviews with communication partners I was able to compare what are the common characteristics of individual planning in low-threshold facilities for children and youth, and where is specifically individual planning different. The results showed that key workers vary in length of practice in low-threshold facilities for children and youth and in a number of individual plans, which were created with their users. An important feature in which communication partners vary is the amount of users that they have in charge. The research has found that a key worker usually accounts for 20 to 30 users. Two social workers, however, had number of users several times higher. The problem arises from a large number of users as social workers do not have enough time for individual planning with all of their users. I hope that my thesis will help raise awareness of social service in low-threshold facilities for children and youth. The thesis could be very interesting for social workers in low-threshold facilities for children and youth. Finally, it could help to those students who have decided that they want and will deal with individual planning in low-threshold facilities.
