Aesthetics in the Early Philosophy of A. N. Whitehead
VÁVRA, Lukáš
This bachelor thesis is devoted to aesthetic reflections, concepts, and terms in Alfred North Whitehead's early philosophical work, with a particular focus on his ideas as expressed in his works on education. It particularly presents Whitehead's concept of style, his concept of the rhythm of education, and the art of life. Based on these three pillars, it shows in what ways aesthetic ideas permeate Whitehead's work. Its goal is to appropriately connect these ideas and demonstrate their close nature. In addition to Whitehead's books on education, the author also works with differently focused sources that are relevant for the support and deepening of the discussed ideas.
Awareness of epilepsy among nurses
KUKAČOVÁ, Markéta
This bachelor's thesis focuses on nurses' knowledge about epilepsy, aiming to investigate how various factors influence their level of knowledge. The theoretical part of the thesis addresses the characteristics of epilepsy, including a detailed classification of seizures. It also focuses on various diagnostic methods and therapeutic approaches used in the treatment of this condition. The final section of the theoretical part examines the nursing perspective on epilepsy. The objective of this study was to determine whether education, length of clinical practice, and workplace (standard ward or intensive care unit) affect nurses' knowledge about epilepsy. A quantitative research method was chosen for data collection, using an unstandardized questionnaire. The results of the research indicate how individual factors such as educational level, length of clinical practice, and the specific department in which a nurse is employed affect the level of knowledge. In conclusion, the contribution of this study lies not only in expanding the knowledge of healthcare professionals through the research itself but also in the form of an informational leaflet. The acquired knowledge can be utilized by nurses to enhance the care provided to patients with epilepsy.

Růčková, Markéta ; Ebelová, Ivana (advisor) ; Kostlán, Antonín (referee) ; Just, Jiří (referee)
Studies and Correspondence of the priests-to-be of the Bohemian Brethren in 1610-1618 Markéta Růčková Two wooden boxes were found during the reconstruction of the former Minorite monastery Na Karmeli at Mladá Boleslav in 2006. The boxes concealed the so-called Archives of Matouš Konečný. The Archives contained documents that originated in the office of, or were addressed to, one of the four bishops of the Bohemian Brethren, Matouš Konečný (1569-1622), whose seat was at Mladá Boleslav. A significant part of the discovery consists of correspondence addressed to Bishop Konečný. A substantial part of the correspondence are documents related to the dispatch of young aspiring Brethren priests for study at educational institutions abroad. Along with letters of the students themselves, sent from Bremen and Beuthen an der Oder (Bytom Odrzański in Poland), where the young men attended academic grammar schools (gymnasia illustria), the boxes contain the students' pledges and accounts of their expenditures. The students' reports are supplemented with the correspondence of their teachers. The collection of letters from students and teachers as well as other documents being thus thematically delimited, our principal objective was to perform an analysis of their content and to prepare an edition of the documents....

Ouředníček, Radek ; Špačková, Petra (advisor) ; Korčák, Matěj (referee)
This bachelor thesis focuses on the evaluation of the level of education in Czechia and its development in the post-socialist period. The aim of the thesis was to describe and explain the differences in the level of education and their development at different levels in Czechia, with an emphasis on gender differences. The analyses were carried out at three territorial levels - European countries, Czechia, and Czech micro-regions (administrative districts of municipalities with extended powers). Quantitative analysis of secondary data was used to answer the research questions of the thesis. In the European context, the level of education and the state of gender inequalities in Czechia were assessed as below average. The research found an increase in the level of education and a reversal of gender gap in education in Czechia. Spatial clusters of educational attainment were defined by cartographic analysis. The most significant spatial differences were found between socio-economically developed core and suburban regions and weaker, socio-economically disadvantaged peripheral areas. Key words: education, educational level, spatial differentiation, gender inequalities, post- socialist development, Czechia
