Musculoskeletal impairtments in musicians playing on string instruments

This bachelor thesis deals with musculoskelatal disorders in instrumental musicians directly related to playing. In the theoretical part, the basic biomechanical movements are described and the body settings during the play of the individual instruments. The thesis compares studies dealing with the issue of disability of the musculoskeletal system, the most frequent areas of disability, their frequency and cause, with a description of the musicians is discussed. The practical part contains a questionnaire which maps the workload of the 28 musicians; the most frequent occurrence of difficulties related to the playing of the individual instruments; occurrence in the time frame and their intensity.
