Lipková, Alena ; Kochan, Jan (advisor) ; Jeníčková, Martina (referee)
This work is dedicated to Colombia's conflict. Its objective is to sum up its implications on neighbour states. Venezuela, Ecuador, Brazil, Peru and Panama have to cope with the invasions of Colombia's guerrillas and paramilitary groups, waves of refugees who look for asylum in other countries in order to run away from acts of violence of their homeland or with increasing trend in cultivation of illicit crops. The United States of American intervenes significantly in the situation by trying with Plan Colombia to lower the quantity of cocaine coming from this region to American's markets. Brief conflict's development and characteristics of its actors, analysis of the relations among countries within the conflict and 3 possible scenarios of future development are used to achieve the main objective of the work.
