This bachelor's thesis deals with lowering exhaust emissions and particle filters. These issues are often debated and also legally regulated, especially by the European Union. The thesis includes direct and indirect impacts on some measures and a critical evaluation of them. The part dedicated to filters includes their function, benefit and problems which occur in actual operation.
Porovnání emisních norem u motorů JCB

The aim of this diploma thesis is to compare the latest emission standards for JCB engines that are used in JCB telescopic loaders. The first part of this work is focused on the history of JCB, the development of JCB Loadall telescopic loaders and also deals with issues of emissions, their origin, effects on humans and the atmosphere. In addition, there are listed ways how to reduce emissions, both ways of reducing pollutants by designing the combustion chamber and reducing them by systems such as SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction), DOC (Diesel Oxidation Catalyst), EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) and particulate filters. Emission regulations are included as well. The second part of this work is focused on the actual measurement of the exhaust gas emissions of JCB engines with different technologies for their reduction. The measured values will be further processed and inserted into tables and graphs that will then be compared to each other.

The possibilities of usage natural gas as fuel in agriculture.

This contribution is focused on the possibilities of using gas fuels in transportation, from the historical beginning, the historical development in individual European countries till now. The main focus is on the possibility of using compressed natural gas (CNG) and biogas in agriculture, because the industry is starting the production of new CNG tractors and other vehicles using in agriculture nowadays. The advantages and disadvantages of CNG usage are mentioned too. In some sectors of agriculture, where the handling machines are used, may CNG as fuel be applied successfully. The contribution deals with the real experience of usage the lift trucks powered by CNG, which can be an inspiration for the farms where they consider of CNG as fuel for their vehicles.
