Nudity in Czech art in 1990s with overolap to the 21st century
Yordanova, Viktoriya ; Pech, Milan (advisor) ; Bendová, Eva (referee)
Anotation The diploma thesis attempts to introduce the subject of the naked body in the 1990's Czech art, thus in the era of the postrevolutionary freedom. In the rapidly transforming society, after the fall of the communism and the disolution of the Eastern Bloc, the body became a crucial tool for artists expression. Local art reflected Western initiatives not only in the art field, but also, in the wider visual culture (porn magazines, erotical TV shows, advertisment etc.). It attempts to represent the authors and their work in which the artists reacted to these initiatives.
Public point of view at sexual education in the Czech Republic
Netolická, Karolína ; Kulhavá, Miluše (advisor) ; Šimonová, Daniela (referee)
The bachelor's thesis titled "Public point of view at sexual education in the Czech Republic" focuses on assessing the implementation of sexual education in the Czech Republic. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical parts. In the theoretical part, I first provide an overview of specialized terminology and then focus on sexual education itself. I discuss the historical development of sexual education and its individual components. I then shift my focus to the current situation of sexual education in the Czech Republic, including the recommendations for education according to the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Czech Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports (MŠMT). My thesis addresses not only sexual education in schools but also within families and through external organizations. The research part analyses an anonymous non-standardized questionnaire, which received responses from 510 respondents in total. I set five specific research goals: to determine whether sexual education is considered important from the public's perspective, to find out the public's experience with sexual education in elementary schools, whether it was implemented, and whether it was sufficient. Additionally, my aim was to find out who should primarily conduct sexual education and how it should be...
More than just an object: The development of identity and subjectivity in hyperrealistic sex dolls and robots
Duffková, Barbora ; Tremčinský, Martin (advisor) ; Balon, Jan (referee)
This thesis examines the phenomenon of hyper-realistic sex dolls and robots, perceived as modern social and emotional partners. The study focuses on how users on The Doll Forum shape and interpret the gender identity and subjectivity of these artificial companions. The main objective is to determine whether interactions between users and these entities lead to the subversion of traditional gender norms or, conversely, reinforce the heteronormative paradigm. The research employs digital ethnography methods and poststructuralist discourse analysis. Results suggest that despite some tendencies towards subversion, prevailing discourses on the TDF still strengthen conventional gender roles and norms, with a group of users attempting to challenge these norms. This work thus reveals the complex dynamics between technological advancement and social norms in the context of modern intimate and interpersonal relationships.
The reconstruction of female sexuality in the Czech Republic between 1950-2022 against the background of the contemporary political context: biographical interviews
Šimková, Alžběta ; Hrůzová, Andrea (advisor) ; Frunc, Ondřej (referee)
This bachelor thesis examines the influence of the apparatus of power on the perception of sexuality of women who grew up in socialist Czechoslovakia. This thesis is based on the premise of Michel Foucault's theory, according to which sexuality is permeated by a network of various power influences and relations (Foucault, 1999). It is by analysing this network of power that one can then come to identify the influences of the contemporary state mechanism. The theoretical section discusses the development of the women's question under socialism and subsequently after the coup. It then describes the main themes of the development of sexuality in the context of Czechoslovakia and the Czech Republic. The research is based on the method of biographical interviews, through which women told their story by describing their sexual experiences and attitudes towards sexuality. Interviews were conducted with five women who became sexually active in the 1950s. The research findings were analysed using the grounded theory method, i.e. inductive coding, and then deductively linked to Simon and Gagnon's sexual script theory. Based on the identification of different levels of scenarios according to this theory, i.e. cultural, interpersonal and intrapsychic levels, the present power relations that shaped sexuality in...
Teacher's experiences with sex education
Nosková, Marie ; Frombergerová, Anna (advisor) ; Macháčková, Marcela (referee)
The right to sex education is part of the right to information and education and thus represents a part of human rights. Sexuality concerns everyone and is an important part of human life since birth. Yet sex education is not a priority in schools. The aim of this study was to investigate the experiences of teachers, who also act as prevention methodologists, in the field of sex education and to find out what form sex education takes in selected primary schools. Seven respondents from primary schools in rural areas of the central part of Czech republic participated in the research. Semi-structured interviews were used to collect data, which was then analyzed using thematic analysis. The data shows that the sex education provided is inconsistent and unstructured. Teachers are often unaware of current approaches to sex education based on recent research, therefore students are not provided with appropriate information. Very often, sex education did not meet the principles of effective primary prevention, focusing either only on the cognitive component of attitude change or the affective component of fear, or did not present enough of the positive aspects of sexuality to students. Perhpas, if quality sex education was the school's priority, if teachers received the necessary support and training in...
Addressing the sexuality of people with disabilities from the perspective of social workers
WOLFOVÁ, Natálie Michala
This bachelor's thesis explores the topic of sexuality by persons with disabilities. The main aim of this thesis was to describe the experience that social workers have when dealing with sexuality by persons with disabilities, who live in residential facilities. A partial aim of the thesis was to discover the attitude of social workers to the issues with sexuality by persons with disabilities. The practical part of this bachelor's thesis was realized with qualitative research. The collection of the data was performed with semi-structured interviews. Social workers, who work in residential facilities with persons with disabilities, were selected intentionally for the research. The collected data were processed using coding and subsequently divided into categories and subcategories. It was discovered from the research that persons with disabilities experience their sexuality actively. One of the indicators of experiencing sexuality may be affection for others. Also touches, hugs, or passing kisses. Social workers and organisations, in which they work, have a favourable attitude towards the topic of sexuality of their clients. A free space is provided to the disabled. The organisation enables privacy to its clients when meeting their sexual needs. The clients may openly communicate about their sexuality. There are some methods made, which are based on the theoretical information and experience with expressing clients' sexuality according to which the residential facilities act. Within the promotion and development of themes of sexuality, the knowledge in this bachelor's thesis could help the providers of social services in the process of improving the quality of life of persons with disabilities in the area of sexuality.
Expressing identity and emotions in Natasha Holme's diaries

This thesis focuses on recording the manner in which Natasha Holme (pseudonym, born 1969) captured her emotions and expressed her - at that time developing - identity in her diaries. This thesis will offer a brief insight into lesbian history, it will introduce tendencies, which resonate in Natasha's own work, and then it will concentrate on how Natasha Holme explored various aspects of her crystalizing identity on the pages of her diaries. The aim of this thesis is to investigate her obsessive desire to capture every detail of her life and to outline the contrast that arises between her inner world, imprisoned within the pages of her diaries, and the reality that reigned outside these pages.

Painting act as an act of making love The bachelor thesis is a serie of paintings on canvas, which strives to make the erotic images that each of us creates on the basis of his own imagination from day to day. They are unrealized, or dreamed and are not anchored in reality, thus creating a new reality, functioning in the space of our heads. This is how painting works for me. As a space in which something can happen that doesn't really exist.
