Three church compositions from the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries from the St. Vitus Church in Český Krumlov
MENTOVÁ, Tereza
The subject of the bachelor thesis are three compositions from the second half of the 18th century, which have been preserved in the choir of the St. Vitus Church in Český Krumlov. They belong to the genre of motet. The main aim of this thesis is the processing of these compositions, which includes their setting in the score from manuscript vocal and instrumental voices, digital setting of the score, critical apparatus, formal description and placing the compositions in the context of baroque and classical sacred music. A further aim is to determine whether the compositions are also found in other collections and whether the anonymously preserved pieces can be traced to their composers. For this reason, the thesis also includes a chapter on the organisation of the RISM, which includes the RISM Catalogue, where missing information about the compositions can be found. The score of compositions was digitally set in the notation program MuseScore4. During the transcription of the compositions, various faults were found (missing accidentals, incorrect intonation, missing bars). The RISM music source inventory was used to search for the authors of the anonymous compositions. It was possible to match two compositions with authors whose biographies and list of works are included in this thesis. The composer of Kommet ihr Hierten is the Austrian composer and priest Franz Josef Aumann (1728-1797). The author of the motet Si consistant is the Czech composer Augustin Šenkýř (1736-1796).
