Variabilita podkorunových srážek ve smrkových tyčkovinách v závislosti na intenzitě výchovného zásahu
Pavlištová, Hana
The thesis studied the effect of various pre-commercial thinning intensities on throughfall variability in pure Norway spruce small-pole stands. For this study, three research plots with different tending treatment intensities applied before the beginning of the 2020 growing season were utilised. Plot B was left without any silvicultural intervention as a control variant with an initial stand density of 4,500 trees/ha, while on plots A and C were performed mild (1,800 trees/ha) and heavy (1,300 trees/ha) pre-commercial thinning, respectively. Based on the results, we found the highest rainfall in plot A. Thus, the most suitable tending treatment from the viewpoint of rainfall mild (1,800 trees/ha; plot A) where the most water get to the root system.
Variabilita podkorunových srážek ve smrkovém porostu

This paper deals with variability of throughfall in spruce stand (Picea abies (L.) Karst) at the age thirty-nine years. The research was performed at the experimental plot situated 620 m above the sea level and its surface was 625 m2. The throughfall precipitation variability was evaluated by twenty-five rain gauges placed in the stand and compared to rainfalls in the meteorological tower. Subsequently, the structure of the stand was measured using a hemiview photograph and a leaf area index, and the throughfall was evaluated against it. Data were processed in the EXCEL and STATISTICA programs. It has been found that the degree of openness and density of the stand directly affects the precipitaion falling under the stand. It has also been found that the highest precipitation is at the point of tree crowns with contact.

Magnesium is one of the major biogenic elements for both - plants and animals. It is involved in many metabolic processes concerning plants, and most importantly magnesium is associated with photosynthesis. This bachelor thesis evaluates the flows and stocks of magnesium on the level of the forest cover and of the soil in the Drahanská vrchovina Upland (location: 49 ° 28'2 .976 "N, 16 ° 41'18 .181" E) in a mixed forest cover (beech, spruce, silver, fir) on the modal oligotropic Cambisol of the silver/beech forest vegetation zone at the age of 130 years at an altitude of 610-620 m above the sea level. In the forest cover, there is accumulated 23 655 kg.Mg.ha-1 in the overlying humus and soil. The precipitations in open area make 0.93 kg.Mg.ha-1.year-1. The soil receives annually 2.55 kg.Mg.ha-1 by throughfall precipitations. The input of magnesium by the seepage waters under A0 horizon (forest floor) is calculated in the amount of 2.37 kg.Mg.ha-1. The obtained results are extending the knowledge of the flow and the occurrence of magnesium in the soil in mixed forest covers.
