Effective Optical Function in Fibre Photonics Networks
Havliš, Ondřej ; Vlček, Čestmír (referee) ; Dostál, Otto (referee) ; Slavíček, Karel (advisor)
This dissertation focuses on efficient optical functions in fiber photonic networks, testbeds and multiband polygon. These functions include optical amplification, switching, routing and filtering of the optical spectrum. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with optical amplification, where different types of optical amplifiers are described. These employ various principles for their function, such as the use of Raman scattering, rare earth doped fibers – primarily Erbium, and lastly semiconductor structures. The practical part of the work is focused on the use and verification of efficient optical functions and their services, i.e. transmission of classical telecommunication data and transmission of ultra-stable quantities (transmission of accurate time and ultra-stable frequency) in fiber photonic network, testbeds and multiband polygon.

Simultaneous transmission of photonic services in fibre optics
Látal, Michal ; Horváth, Tomáš (referee) ; Münster, Petr (advisor)
Diploma thesis focuses on simultaneous transmission of selected photonic services by one single-mode optical fiber. The thesis deals with the problem of common transmission of multiple photonic services by one optical fiber using the wavelength division multiplex technology. Furthermore, the origin and influence of nonlinear phenomena accompanying the simultaneous transmission of photonic services are described. Except common data transmission with a bitrate of 10 Gbit/s, a common high-speed data signal transmission with a bitrate of 200 Gbit/s, accurate time transmission and high-power sensor signal are considered. During the aimultaneous transmission of selected photonic services, the measurement of the transmission parameters was performed for various variants of the simultaneous transmission arrangement. In particular, the influence of nonlinear phenomena and possible mutual interference of individual transmission channels at 50 and 100 GHz between signals was analyzed.

Transmission of accurate time and stable frequency through the optical network
Girt, Lukáš ; Horváth, Tomáš (referee) ; Vojtěch, Josef (advisor)
Diploma thesis focuses on the theoretical analysis of precise time and stable frequency transfer. It describes what time and frequency is, their properites and options of their generation. Next part deals with different possibilities of time and frequency transfer especially using fiber optics. In the practical part equipment for analysing effects of temperature changes on precise time transfer is puted into operation. Arduino platform is used for monitoring temperature changes on fiber. For testing of frequency stability in variable temperature conditions of environmental chamber device is created using highly coherent laser.

Digital clock and thermometer with matrix display
Kerndl, Michal ; Stehlík, Jiří (referee) ; Šandera, Josef (advisor)
There is suggestion of obtaining exact time and temperature in this work, based on DCF signal and SMT160 temperature sensor. This project is based on LED matrix display wich is ready-to-connect module. Layout of this work is designed schematic and board layout wich can be used to produce working prototype. This prototype have been created and tested in practice.

Digital clock with surface mounted matrix display
Filka, Tomáš ; Adámek, Martin (referee) ; Šandera, Josef (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis deals with a draft of digital clock controlled by DCF77 signal transmitted from deutschland Mainflingen, designed as table clock. Matrix LED display, size 8x32, in form of a module that is soldered to a basic plate, and is used for displaying. Possible technical solutions for driving dot LED matrix, mounting technology and other parts are described and the outcome is a designed schema with printed circuit board.
