Acute coronary syndromes and the influence of nutritional education

Patients who have suffered an acute myocardial infarction need a comprehensive team of doctors and health professionals in whose care they are in the follow-up. Many times, however, a nutritionist may be missing from this team. It is very important for patients to take small and effective steps to change their lifestyle and dietary choices after they leave the hospital. Nutrition plays a major role in the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease and is one of the non-negligible preventive factors for recurrence of acute myocardial infarction. The thesis focuses on the issue of dietary change after AIM with a three-month interval. It compares the choice of certain foods in a nutritionally educated group that also received educational papers and a control group that did not receive education and did not receive papers. The first conversation with patients took place at the hospital bedside. Respondents signed an informed consent form, were anthropometrically measured, asked several questions about diet and lifestyle, and were instructed on what they needed for a follow-up interview in three months. The aim of the bachelor thesis: The professional preparedness of students in the fields of Nutrition Assistant (SOŠZ), Diplomed Nutrition Therapist (VOŠZ), Nutrition Therapist (VŠ) focuses on differences in education in the last years of study in the fields of Nutrition Assistant (SOŠZ), Diplomed nutritional therapist (VOŠZ), Nutritional therapist (University), using a didactic test. The theoretical part of the thesis is focused on education in the above mentioned fields and their comparison. The theoretical part presents the basic characteristics of the fields, the course of study and the subsequent application in future job. The practical part presents the results of the research, which took part in the last study year of the above mentioned fields. The research method used was a didactic test, which was distributed to the students. Didactic test was composed of three parts (a total of thirty questions). The results were processed in "MSExcel".
The effect of nutritional counselling on anorexia nervosa, its origin and treatment

The objective of this bachelor's thesis is to obtain a complex view of nutritional counselling and to prove or disprove influence of nutritionist's care on triggering and developing anorexia nervosa. The theoretical part describes the conditions for practising nutritional counselling and differences between dietitians and nutritionists. Also, this part focuses on factors that can trigger anorexia nervosa, its types, and prevention. The research was conducted by evaluating interviews with three clients of Anabell counselling centre and three clients of a nutritionist. The results show that the trust in the nutritionists is high and the clients precisely follow their recommendations which can affect their health. Inspection of the medical history of the nutritionist's clients was executed in neither of the cases. The medical history contains the important part of psychosocial issues and it was neglected. All of the three respondents confirmed that they did not know the difference between dietitian and nutritionist. The results provide an insight into the incompetent care of the nutritionists. They show that it is essential to spread knowledge on the possibility to use services of dietitians in the nutrition field.
