The work contains a description of the methods, equipment and measurement. Listed are the main advantages of using X-ray tomography in metrology in comparison with coordinate measuring machine. The work deals with the measurement accuracy of microtomography machine GE V|tome|x L 240, analyzing sources of instrument uncertainty and its quantification. The work was also devised a practical table for the calculation of uncertainty of measurement. The practical part was also measuring on real samples of the industry.

Experimental study of tile grout material behavior

Study provides preliminary results of experimental study of tile grout material behavior. Experiments were performed with the use of microCT, three point bending test and methods for chemical analysis. It was proven that material behave very elastic and the suitability of the combination of used methods.
Design and use of novel compression device for microtomography under applied load

This paper deals with modification and usage of custom-designed compression device, that allows real time X-ray tomography scanning of specimen under applied pressure. In this case microtomography is used to obtain data required to determine specimens morphology and to develop 3D material model (especially for cellular materials such as bones, metal foams and quasi-brittle materials or particle composites such as concrete or cementitious composites). Important design changes were made in the existing device frame to increase its load capabilities, stiffness and to accomodate a larger specimen. Finally device displacement measurements were conducted and calibration experiment was carried out.
Deformační analýza trabekulární kosti za použití mikrotomografie v čase

To explore the possibilities of modern X-ray detectors an experimental setup with trabecular bone sample under uni-axial load in special loading device enabling time-lapse tomography was used. The load was applied gradually and after complete tomographic scanning the deformed shape was reconstructed. Collected 3-D images help to study the deformation process of the micro-structure where collapsing of individual trabeculae can be observed and compared to finite element simulations.
