Josef Václav Scheybal: a documentalist and a collector

Josef Václav Scheybal : A documentalist and a collector The diploma thesis deals with Josef Václav Scheybal (1928 - 2001) and his activity mainly in northern Bohemia. It attempts to capture all aspects Scheybal's personality, because he was a painter, graphic artist, illustrator, art historian and ethnographer. He was an expert of folk architecture and sculpture, folk furniture, technical equipment, the popular clothing, prints, folk songs, was the creator of multiple exposures. He also cooperated with the Institute of ethnography and folklore, ethnographic research, participated throughout the country, with results published regularly. His focus on folk architecture resulted in a lifetime's research and documentary work. He gathered the valuable work of drawing documents, publications of folk architecture and free of the open air. The thesis also includes his family, the father Josef Scheybal and his wife Jana Scheybalová. Historical development of rural municipalities in the selected regions of the Czech Republic

This diploma thesis deals with comparison of architectural development of rural municipalities in the selected regions of the Czech Republic. Assessment, which facts in history had an influence for origin buildings in a South Bohemia, but at two different regions, where subject of research was at Soběslavsko-veselská blata and Hlubocko-zbudovská blata. Also it was necessary to emphasize how exceptional and momentous importance has rural municipalities in a history of architecture, which can influence rural development in a future.
New homestead with a stable for horses

The topic of this Bachelor's thesis is to design a new homestead with a stable for horses. The first part of work focuses on the historical development of rural buildings. This section discusses the connection of rural buildings with the surrounding environment, the used materials and the overall historical development of the Czech lands in the early days of rural architecture until the mid 20th century. The second part presents the new homestead with the stable.
