The aim of the thesis "Researching Different Preparations during the Dry Period and their influence on Milk Gland and Dairy Milk Composition" was to analyze the occurrence of clinical mastitis in the first part of lactation (30, 60 and 90 days). Comparing the use of the antibiotic-containing product (Virbactan) and the noncontaining formulation (Orbeseal). Subsequently, the health of the mammary gland, the manifestation of clinical mastitis and the composition of milk from 130 cows of Holstein cattle were evaluated. Individual data on the dry period and data from performance controls needed for analysis were collected between 2016-2017. At 30 days of lactation, the effect of agents on protein content, fat, lactose, ketone, citric acid, free fatty acids, and fat-free fat in milk have proven to be effective. At 60 days of lactation, the same effect could be seen on ketones content, citric acid, free fatty acids, and dry matter. At 90 days, evident influence of antibiotic were concerning somatic cells, urea, ketones and dry fat. Influence on Mastitis was not proven.
Mastitis in goats

This bachelor thesis deals with the problems of mastitis in goats. Goat milk is currently enjoying an increasing popularity. During the lactation period there were collected a total of 80 individual samples in four samplings and four pool samples of raw milk. In the samples were analyzed somatic cells count, total microbial counts and psychrotrophic microorganisms. It can be concluded that suckling kids can have an impact on the increased value at the beginning of lactation, even though the milk samples weren´t higher than the applicable legislation. Poor hygiene of breeding goats increases the risk of mastitis and thus degrades the quality of milk and dairy products, while keeping good hygienic conditions is reflected in the excellent quality of goat milk and subsequently ensure customer satisfaction.
