Four Channel Active Antenna Switch for UHF Band Satellite Reception
Kubeš, Václav ; Urbanec, Tomáš
The aim of this work is to design and implement a complex electronic device, known as an antenna switch, that allows to receive a high-frequency satellite signals in the UHF band via one of five connected antennas at a given time. This device is capable of automatic antenna switching according to non-geostationary satellite position, from which signal is received, thus with suitable antenna selection, is alternative to motorized directional antennas. The device consists of outdoor and indoor unit and Human-Machine interface (HMI). The outdoor unit is driven by a microcontroller which collect diagnostic data about proper function and controls the RF switch. The outdoor unit amplifies the UHF signal too. indoor unit with power inserter, diplexer and USB to serial converter, allows diagnostic data and commands transfer between outdoor unit and users computer with Human-Machine interface.
Air - water heat pumps
Illichman, Petr ; Formánek, Marian (referee) ; Počinková, Marcela (advisor)
The topic of my diploma thesis is air-water heat pumps. The diploma thesis contains three parts. In the first part I describe the theory of air-water heat pumps. In the second part I consider two variants of heating, hot water heating and pool water heating using air-water heat pumps in the family house, Révova. The third experimental part is focused on observation of operational process and calculation of heat factors of air-water heat pump while in the heating model. The calculated heating factors are then compared to the heating factors from the manufacturer's graph.
Compensation of Temperature Instability of the Received Signal Level of Microwave Links
Repa, Pavol ; Musil, Petr (referee) ; Bubniak, Milan (advisor)
This thesis deals with the field of microwave links. Specifically, it is concerned with compensating for the temperature instability of the received signal level of microwave links. This problem is solved according to the proposed algorithm, which can be used to suppress the temperature waveforms, and thus achieve better results in the calculation of collisions in the Telcorain software application. A compensation algorithm has been developed to compensate for microwave links with strong temperature dependence. By~compensating for these non-compliant microwave links, it was possible to reuse them in the calculation of the average rainfall intensity, and hence they were retained in~the~generation of the 2D rainfall maps. The compensation algorithm is implemented in the~Telcorain application, where the individual results of the precipitation calculation can be verified. Throughout the thesis, microwave joints from two manufacturers, each with a~different technology used, were analysed. Their comparison with each other is~the~focus of this thesis, in which the individual differences between these microwave links are published.
