Reprodukce v chovu holštýnského plemene skotu
Klimešová, Michaela
This bachelor thesis discusses reproduction of Holstein cattle. It deals with reproductive characteristics of the breed. In the first part it summarizes the basic morphological and physiological characteristics of female and male of Holstein cattle. The thesis deals with the most fundamental and nowadays even the most commonly used methods of heat detection. The second part deals with the selection of appropriate technology for successful insemination conception of dairy cows and heifers. We demonstrate the success of artificial insemination methods to detect pregnancy which are also summarized and described. In the third part of the thesis deals with the birth cow. The birth also includes the development of the foetus and treatment of the calf after the birth. For successful herd management is necessary to know the main indicators of reproductive properties which are also included in this study. Holstein cattle is very sensitive to changes in nutrition, but also changes in climatic conditions and this has resulted in lot of health problems which are reflected primarily in reproduction.
Vyhodnocení růstu folikulů u klisen
Baková, Lenka
The mare is in our geographic region a seasoned polyestrial animal. Due to human care, some mares can also suppress seasonality. Many factors, both internal and external, are responsible for folliculogenesis, or the development of ovarian follicles. Folliculogenesis is hormonal controlled. It is significantly influenced by the photoperiod, which, by its prolongation, stimulates the production of the relevant hormones. Both can be influenced by both. However, there are other factors that influence this process. This work was mainly focused on the influence of temperament, environment, length of oestrus processes, previous pregnancy, age and stress. In this work, it was found that, for example, in the case of cold-blooded mares, the size of the ovulatory follicle was greater than that of the thoroughbred mares, or that in younger mares the average size of the ovulatory follicle was greater than in the oldest group.
Proliferace a dynamika tkání během vývoje zubů a jim pribuzných patrových lišt

My PhD thesis has addressed specific questions regarding cell proliferation and tissue dynamics in three key areas of craniofacial development: during suppression and revitalization of tooth buds that develop in the mouse embryonic dentition as rudiments of lost premolars; during dental papilla and follicle formation of the first mouse molar; and during origin of palatal rugae on the mouse hard palate. By evaluation of cell proliferation, we recorded a change in the proliferation pattern along the cheek region of the mandible between less and more advanced embryos at embryonic day 13.5. Thus during the time period, when the development of the large mouse rudimental premolar primordium (R2) is stopped, we showed that the arrest of the rudiment R2 is caused by exhibiting low rate of cell proliferation and high rate of apoptosis. When Sprouty gene signalling is disrupted, the premolar primordium shows rates of proliferation and apoptosis similar to the growing first molar. The R2 subsequently revitalizes and develops into a supernumerary tooth in front of the first molar. Furthermore, we discovered that the dental mesenchyme is very dynamic tissue during bud and cap stages of tooth development and that the dental papilla of the first molar originates only from a restricted region of the dental...
Effect of intrauterine autoplasma application on mare fertility
ŠTĚRBOVÁ, Hana
The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of intrauterine plasma infusion on conceiving rate in selected group of mares during the breeding seasons 2008 and 2009. The fresh sperm insemination was followed by the infusion of self-plasma and subsequently the successivity of the insemination was compared with the control group of mares. Next, there were observed following factors which could influence the effectiveness of conceiving: age of the mares, number of insemination doses, size and location of preovulating follicle, month of the year. There was also evaluated the difference between multiparous (with one and more births) and nulliparous mares. The statistical analyses were proceeded by the use of contingency tables and the one-factorial analysis of variance (ANOVA). Next, the regression and correlation analyses were used. All the statistical procedures were performed with the use of statistical software STATGRAPHICS Plus 5.0. The results showed that there were the same results in observing of both number of insemination doses and fertile heats evaluation. There was found no significant effect of plasma infusion on the conceiving rate. In the model with the effects of plasma infusion and the age of the mare there were found statistically significant differences. It means that the effect of plasma infusion on conceiving rate was confirmed in the mares of the age up to 14 years. The result of the following analysis is the non-significant difference in conceiving rate between the groups of multiparous mares with or without plasma infusion.
