Family Tree Drawing in Web Pages
Zedník, Matěj ; Kočí, Radek (referee) ; Rozman, Jaroslav (advisor)
This thesis deals with displaying interactive family trees in a browser using a suitable library of choice. A library programmed in Javascript was used for the solution, which was modified and improved. To obtain the necessary family tree data, a Gedcom-type file is used, which after analysis is converted to a JSON-type structure. This structure is then passed to the modified library to display the family tree. It is therefore possible to display any family's family tree including all its ancestors or a member and descendants.
Program for Interactive Family-Tree Making
Navrátilová, Eva ; Zbořil, František (referee) ; Rozman, Jaroslav (advisor)
This thesis describes the design and implementation of an application for interactive family-tree making. The application supports importing and exporting data in GEDCOM format, further editing of the data, visualizing the data in family charts and their export. The design of the program is modular. It is implemented using C++ and Qt. The program was released for testing amongst the group of Czech and Slovak genealogists and their opinions on the program were obtained and analysed.
Database for Genealogical Models
Vanka, Michal ; Zbořil, František (referee) ; Kočí, Radek (advisor)
This work, which extends the DEMoS project, deals with solving efficient storage of genealogical models in the database. For this purpose, different types and specific solutions of database systems are compared to find the most suitable one. After selecting the right solution, a structure for storing genealogical records is created, emphasizing the reduction of data redundancy compared to the original system for storing people in the DEMoS project. The work provides this system with a web user interface for the practical possibility of integration into the DEMoS project and convenient work with the database system.
Modelling on Historical Data
Pátek, Daniel ; Rozman, Jaroslav (referee) ; Zbořil, František (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to design and implement a web application that allows the display and editing of genealogical models. These models are created using a program that permits their automatic assembly from available registry records. A great focus of the solution is the connection of the web application with this program. The application is developed using Node.js, written in JavaScript using its React library. The web application provides the user with access to the mentioned program and allows him to view and edit the output of this program. It is especially concerned with the user-friendliness and simplicity of the application. The solution also includes integration into an existing system which provides the user with the possibility of transcribing data from archives and manages a community database.
Modeling System Based on Archival Data
Haškovec, Martin ; Kočí, Radek (referee) ; Zbořil, František (advisor)
The aim of this work is to design and implement scripts in PHP for converting output archived data from Prolog to the MySQL web application database. The application script should be used to transfer the writing of archived data processed by the Prolog language to others relational databases used for data archiving and their further presentation.

Data Synchronization between Two Databases
Nemček, Leopold ; Beran, Jan (referee) ; Rozman, Jaroslav (advisor)
This thesis focuses on the design and implementation of an extension for an application used for creating and editing family trees, called ProGenealogy. The extension enables importing data from the DEMoS system database, which contains transcriptions of civil registry records. Additionally, the extension provides the option to export the data to a Neo4j graph database. Finally, the extension was tested.
