The bachelor thesis deals with roughing milling. Beginning of this thesis is concerned with common description milling and example work surface. Next part refers about necessary information for selection of roughing milling tool and its toolholder. Next chapter deals with basic information about CNC milling machines. Last part is devoted selection of concrete configuration machine, tool and its toolholder for roughing milling of plane and form surface with CNC machines.

This bachelor thesis deals with the production of the required component at Czech Blades, s. r. o. Includes analysis of the component in terms of possible variants of technologies applicable for the production, including specifically selected machines and tools, which the company owns. Among other things, contains all the technological documentation, which includes technological process, manual for working on milling machine and planing machine, to the product pricing.

Application of PVD coatings for face milling

Diploma thesis is focused on the application of PVD coatings for face milling. The theoretical part, systematically, deals with the division of coating methods. PVD method is stressed here. Treatment of material before coating is described as well. The machine, the machine tool and cutting material is described in the experimental section. The aim of the work was comparison of coating exchangeable cutting tips (VBD) to uncoated ones. Based on experiment, it is clear that the use of PVD coatings resulted in reduction of cutting powers and lifetime was increased.
