Emergency Medical Service as Component of Integrated Emergency System

Incident may be caused by the harmful effect of natural forces and phenomena caused by human activities. For dealing with situations that threaten health and property of citizens there were created the Integrated Rescue System, which is designed as a system of cooperation and coordination of components in preparation for emergencies and when conducting rescue and clean up operations to achieve rapid and effective assistance. This work deals mainly with problems of emergency medical services. The aim is to map the system of emergency medical services. It is composed as an introduction to the basic concepts of activities, legislation, EMS documentation, opportunities for cooperation with other components of the rescue system, designating a single procedure in dealing with mass EMS disability health. This is a summary of information on EMS in the CR. It also contains information about EMS in other countries

All the members of medical staff involved in the acute medicine including emergency medical service providers are, with their stressful everyday practice vulnerable to the burn-out syndrome and the acute response to stress but also to the posttraumatic strss disorder.All the conditions mentioned result not only in unfavourable effects on the emergency medical service providers professional and personal life, but may also affect unfavourably the patiens themselves.
