The Crime of Rape and its Redefinition

The Crime of Rape and its Redefinition Abstract This thesis is focused on the crime of rape and its redefinition in the Czech legal system. As rape is considered the second most serious crime after murder from the victim's perspective and as society's view of what is and is not acceptable in sexual relationships has changed significantly over time, there is currently an intense debate about the need to change the crime of rape in the Czech legal system. This thesis is divided into two main parts, with the first part dealing with theoretical issues and the second part being more practically oriented. The thesis further consists of seven chapters. The first chapter discusses the historical development and presents in detail the elements of the crime of rape since the 1950s. The second chapter analyses the current legislation in Act No. 40/2009 Sb., the Criminal Code, as amended, i.e. it presents a model of coercion. The third chapter deals with the Council of Europe Convention on Preventing and Combating Violence against Women and Domestic Violence, whose so far unsuccessful ratification in some way accompanies the debate on the redefinition of the crime of rape. Kibble balance

The bachelor thesis consists of three sections. The first section explains the revision of the international system of units (SI), which took place in 2018 at the 26th General Conference on Weights and Measures (CGPM). The second section explains the concept of Kibble balance and introduces some of the created projects. The third section of the work was the creation of a prototype Kibble balance, evaluation of measured data and design of future modifications of the prototype.

The first section explains the revision of the international system of units (SI), which took place in 2018 at the 26th General Conference on Weights and Measures (CGPM). The second section explains the concept of Kibble balance and introduces some of the created projects. In the third section of the work, the prototype of Kibble balance was realized. The fourth section contains the measurements of the prototype’s properties of the and the evaluation of the measured data. In the last section, possible sources of uncertainty and their possible solutions were evaluated.

Family in the Book of Ruth - Redefinition

Rodina a její záchrana tvoří jedno z hlavních témat knihy Rút. Práce si klade za cíl prozkoumat rodinu v knize Rút a zjistit na jakých principech a zákonech stojí. Nejdřív si ukážeme obraz starozákonní rodiny. Prozkoumáme její vazby a zákony podle kterých se řídí, abychom tento obraz mohli následně porovnat s rodinou v knize Rút, čímž ukážeme, jak kniha Rút starozákonní obraz rodiny přeznačuje a redefinuje. V knize Rút velmi jasně stojí nad zákonem a kulturními zvyklostmi laskavost a milosrdenství. Hlavní aktéři knihy Rút nejen že naplňují zákon, ale daleko jej překračují činy milosrdenství. Na laskavosti a milosrdenství postaví novou rodinu, čímž rodinu navždy redefinují. Annotation One of the main themes of the book of Ruth is family and its redemption. The goal of this work is to analyze the concept of family in the book of Ruth, find out its foundations and basic principles. The first step is to look at the picture of the family in the Od Testament. We will search through its ties and guiding laws. Then we will compare this picture with the family in the book of Ruth. By this we will point to the fact how the book of Ruth redefines and alters the Old Testament picture of family.
