Selected psychological aspects of renal transplantation

This bachelor thesis concentrates on selected psychological aspects of renal transplantation. The literary overview is focused first on the introduction to the issue of transplantation, then it compares renal transplantation with other possible forms of treatment from a psychological point of view. It also mentions selected factors influencing patient's quality of life after kidney transplantation and selected health risks after transplantation with an emphasis on their psychological side. It also briefly discusses the importance of patient's contact with medical staff. The research proposition focuses on the patient's fear of rejection, depending on his or her age, gender and type of donor.
