Design and Implementation of the Geographical Information System of Zoo in Bratislava

Creating a Geographic Information System (GIS) is a complex, step-by-step process that involves requirements analysis, creating the system's architecture, data acquisition, and implementation. This project outlines the development of a user-friendly GIS, using Bratislava ZOO as a case study. The paper describes the process of creating a GIS from formulating tasks to full practical implementation. The result is a website with four geoinformation modules: engineering networks, infrastructure, visitor app, greenery, and a file library. This project can serve as a reference for similar spatial object management systems in parks and other areas.

This diploma thesis is about creation of a map interactive presentation in the form of web applications for data visualization on the map. The application is created for academical purposes, especially for future research of visualization on the map. The theoretical part describes the basic concepts and technologies used in map applications and description of used technologies and technical tools used during implementation. The practical part describes application design, data storage and application testing. At the end of this thesis is discussed, possible application extension and application applicability in practice.

Geoportál přírodního parku Novohradské Hory

This bachelor thesis focuses on a process of Novohradské hory natural park map portal creation. The theoretical part is trying to explain the importance of a geoportal as well as of a tool for its creation. After that follows planning of the project preparation and explanation of the chosen natural park territory, its characteristic and protection. Practical part resumes with the creation of the geoportal itself including addition of thematic applications on natural environments, its protection, territorial development and tourism. Moreover, the geoportal contains presentation of theses written by students of JU in České Budějovice, which relates to the research of the park territory. The final geoportal applications have been published with a help of webpages.
