Ilona Kučerová Title: Case study of Physiotherapy Treatment of a patient with Guillain-Barré syndrome Objectives: The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to summarize basic knowledge about Guillain- Barré syndrome with the focus on physiotherapical care in the theoretical part and a subsequent case study of a patient with Guillain-Barré syndrome. Methodes: The bachelor's thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part contains the characteristics, classification, causes and diagnosis of Guillain-Barré syndrome. Furthermore, treatment options including physiotherapeutic approaches for the disease are elaborated here. The practical part contains a case study of physiotherapy care for a patient with Guillain-Barré syndrome. The case report consists of an initial and final examination, a description of the therapeutic sessions and an evaluation of the therapy effect. Results: After completing the therapy, the patient's stability and walking stereotype improved. The patient no longer needs a compensatory aid to walk. Author: Izabela Starková Title: Case study of Physiotherapy Treatment of a Patient with Diagnosis Guillain-Barré syndrome Aim: The main goals of this bachelor thesis is to summarize known facts about the diagnosis of Guillain-Barré syndrome and then present a case study of physiotherapy treatment of a patient with this diagnosis. Summary: This thesis is divided into a theoretical and special part. The focus of the theoretical part is the diagnosis of Guillain-Barre syndrome, it's characteristics, pathophysiology, diagnosis, treatement and rehabilitation. The special part consist of a case study of a patient effected with Guillain-Barré syndrome. The special part is divided into initial and final examination, describtion of the physiotherapy sessions, assesment of effectivnes of the treatement and discussion. Results: We could see improvement in the pactient's physical condition. Lenghthening of shorthened muscle groups was achieved as well as improvement in strenght, stability, gait and ADL.
