The Spain Plays on the Stages of Prague in the XIXth Century

My bachelor thesis deals with the productions of the Spanish dramatics on the Prague stages in 19th century. The aim of thesis was creating a list of all productions and describing the success of each play with comparison to others from available materials. Part of the thesis was also the development of summary cards from individual performances.

Fran\c{c}ois Rabelais seen by Czech literary critics

This thesis is focused on reception of the work of the French renaissance writer François Rabelais. The main objective of the thesis is to ascertain how his work was perceived by Czech and also European critics. François Rabelais entered the Czech literary context due to the translation of his work by a group of translators named Jihočeská Theléma. This thesis deals with the perception of his work by contemporary literary critics and ascertains whether the views of Czech and European critics are identical or different. The thesis also deals with the translation group called Jihočeská Theléma and with the issue of Gargantua and Pantagruel novel entering the Czech literary scene. One subsection is dedicated to the legal action with V. K. Blahník, who used the Czech translation of Gargantua without agreement with the publisher Reise and without permission of Jihočeská Theléma.
