Means for Catalyst Activity Stabilization of Catalyst for Disproportionation and Transalkylation of Alkylbenzenes
Hanika, Jiří ; Kolena, J. ; Morávek, P. ; Šimek, J.
Experiences from catalytic transformation of trialkylbenzenes in reaction with toluene catalyzed by zeolite catalysts were summarized in the study. Kinetic investigation of 1,2,4-trimethylbenzene and tri- and tetramethylbenzenes in hydrorafinated C9 pyrolysis fraction transalkylation by toluene at temperature 350 - 450 oC and hydrogen pressure 3 MPa in bench scale tubular reactor was made. A positive effect of nickel component in catalyst pellet on its stability has been demonstrated. Activity of catalyst prepared in the study was compared with that of commercial sample.
Selective Catalytic Cracking of Higher Alkenes
Kolena, J. ; Morávek, P. ; Bortnovsky, O. ; Tukač, V. ; Hanika, Jiří
New type of zeolite catalyst of ZSM-5 type partially transformed to acidic form with improved selectivity has been developed in the study. After catalyst modification by cerium ion the selectivity was moreover increased. Catalytic cracking of 1-hexene to propylene was used as a test reaction. Kinetic model parameters of the reaction system were identified by AspenPlus software application. The catalyst deactivation kinetics was investigated too.
