Modern fitness training and its influence on the health of men in the age between 30 and 45 years.
AJGEL, Lubomír
The aim of this thesis is to determine the importance and impact of modern fitness exercise on health of men age 30 - 45 years. Theoretical part was created based on literary compilation of available sources relevant to this topic. As such the theoretical part served as a basis for the practical part, where the value of heart rate during hours of modern fitness exercises was measured. The impact of modern fitness exercise on health of tested group of men was evaluated based on health rate, BMI values and anthropometric measurements of thickness of four skinfolds using the calliper. Based on these methods I determined the percentage of body fat. I came to the conclusion that modern fitness exercises are appropriate activities for health and weight reduction for men aged 30 to 45 years.
Effect of acute stress on paramedic and subsequent crisis intervention.
JIŘIŠTA, Vladimír
This thesis deals with problems of psychological stress sustained by paramedics working in rescue service, as well as mapping the possibilities of the crisis intervention in case of excess stress events in the practice of these workers. The thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part of the thesis defines the basic terms relating to rescue services and paramedics, the stress, stress levels and subsequent psychosocial care, crisis intervention and its history. The practical part is focused on the level of mental stress found in paramedics in service, which was examined by the Meister questionnaire. In addition, the respondents were asked about the possible symptoms of acute stress. Another part of the questionnaire examined the awareness and possible experience of psychosocial assistance and crisis intervention among the paramedics of rescue services. The survey was conducted by questionnaire method in two regions of the CR, the Hradec Králové Region and the Moravian-Silesian Region.
Techniques of coping in adolescence
ŠVEJDOVÁ, Michaela
The main issue of this thesis is stress situations, to be more precise stress situations in adolescence. The theoretical part consists of general characteristics of adolescence focused on important changes and fundamental basis of this period of human life. Then I tried to characterize situations we consider stressful for example stress, frustration and conflict. In next chapter I am searching for possible solutions. At the end of the theoretical part I mention techniques which are helpful when fighting stress. The second, practical, part contains a small research made to get known which situations adolescents consider as stressful, how they cope with them and where they search for support. This research has been put into practice in two grammar schools and in one lower grade of high school (especially gymnasium). For the practical part I used questionnaires.
Stress factors in dairy cows
SEDLÁČKOVÁ, Renata
The presented work is focused on stress factors in dairy cows breeding. My work describes the basic factors influencing the comfort of animals. According to these factors I develope literary knowledge, in which there are stated some possible risks of the stress factors and their impact in dairy cows breeding, the types of stress and their adaptation, preventing stress and general requirements of stabling. The literary research also includes the summary of conventional and ecological breeding with focus on stress of dairy cows and its elimination.
Effect of milking with an automatic milking system on selected incides of cattle welfare
PROVAZNÍKOVÁ, Iveta
The aim of my bachelor thesis was to evaluace the welfar of dairy cows. They are loosely housed and milked by robot. The main indicators were total time spent by cows in the robot and information about the movement of cows after leaving the milking box. The next step was to evaluate a time needed to prepare a dairy cow from entrance into the robot to a successful use of teat handpiece. Of course it was necessary to evaluate effects of stress on selected blood parameters. We can give us an idea of welfare using this loosely housing based on these observation. Next reason is the posibility of free decision in which intervals during the day the cows will be milked. Measured and monitored values were collected by observing dairy cows and precise records of their activities from entrance into the robot. In thirty minutes after leaving the robot it was recorded the movement of animals in housing and then satisfying their physiological needs, rating, drinking and lying down. The measurment was realized in standard operating conditions for 24 hours. The measurment was realized by all milked cows in the herd. Time information of ongoing operations and daily milk production were taken from the milking robot Lely Astronaut. Results of these measurements were evaluated by Microsoft Excel, Statistica 9 and then compared with total performance. Information of stress in all ways of milking were getting from the experimental work of VFU Brno. The observations didn´t show any serious problems in welfare area. Animals were calm and satisfied all the time of evaluating. Milking was carried out without any problems and dairy cows entered discipline into the box of robot. Only five cows (6 % of milked cows) had to be chasing with the help of zootechnician. But in the most of cases we talk about heifers and they have to adapt. During the observation it was detected 147 milking at 58 dairy cows. In diametr that was 2,54 milking per one cow. With the average yield 14,87 kg it means, that the average daily performance of one dairy cow was 37,8 kg of milk. The preparation for milking lasted about 2 minutes and 25 seconds. The time of actual milking was average 6 minutes. After milking 83,7 % of the monitored cows sought food and only 6,8 % of monitored cows lay down. The average daily yield significantly increased in the cows, these are milked three times a day, which means 31 % growth. The activity curve of diary cows in the chart showed strong willingness of dairy cows to work with the milking robot. Cortisone in the blood serum showed no values over the limit.
Mental Hygiene as a Fundamental Premise of Prevention of Burnout Syndrome in Selected High-Risk Professions
RYBÁČKOVÁ, Ilga
Helping professions are characterized by high demands on the personality of a helping person. A lot of researches show that members of these professions are at risk of the burnout syndrome. Mental hygiene serves to maintain mental health and is the basis for prevention of the burnout syndrome. The aim of the bachelor thesis is to reveal the relationship between the incidence of symptoms of burnout and compliance or violation of the mental hygiene principles. Another aim of the research is to find out, whether the members of the selected high?risk professions know about and keep the mental hygiene principles, and also to find out, whether the compliance with the mental hygiene principles has impact on the burnout prevention. The theoretical part, first of all, characterizes concepts of helping professions, psychological stress, its cause and symptoms. Burnout syndrome is then described in details ? definition, cause, symptoms and treatment. Then, the main part of the thesis follows. It is dedicated to mental hygiene as a prevention of burnout. Particular aspects of mental hygiene, such as healthy lifestyle, diet, sleep hygiene or relaxation techniques are described here. In the end other factors influencing the burnout are mentioned - supervision, self- assessment, and interpersonal relationships. To achieve the objectives, qualitative research was carried out, realized by the method of questioning, technique of the non-standardized interview. The respondents were chosen from 4 high-risks professions ? teachers, nurses, social workers and rescue workers. Quota selection was carried out, based on the results of Burnout Measure questionnaire, which examines symptoms of burnout. The research has shown that the representatives from the selected professions are aware of burnout syndrome and know mental hygiene principles. The research has also shown that integration of mental hygiene principles into lives of helping people has impact on the burnout prevention. The interviews also proved impact of other factors. Above all, good relationships at the workplace and supervision can have positive influence.
What does make teachers stressed?
LOJDA, Josef
The thesis deals with the issue of stress in teachers. The concepts of teacher, stressor, stress and burn out syndrome are explained, as well as the connection between them. The theoretical part is focused on the stress prevention and the defense against stress. The aim of the practical part is to detect the main stressors in teachers, as well as the frequency and the intensity of their stress and negative emotions experience with regard to their professional age, sex and specialization. Further, teachers' knowledge about stress and their effort to prevent themselves from experiencing it are investigated.
Intensity of nursing work on the oncological department.
TŮMOVÁ, Lucie
This Bachelor thesis deals with working demands of nurses employed in oncology departments. Because of being in continuous contact with people (patients, their families or colleagues) nurses working in these departments should be empathetic, kind, patient and helpful. The theoretical part of this thesis focuses on general characteristics of oncological departments, description of nursing specifics, available oncological treatment, the role of nurses in palliative treatment and issues of burnout syndrom. The theoretical part presents the results of semi-structured interviews conducted with nurses working in oncology departments at "Ceské Budějovice Hospital" and "Na Bulovce Hospital". Based on the dialaogues were the case reports which later became the basis for category tables. The results show that nurses perceive their work as difficult, mostly from the psychological aspect. The oncology nurses have to face terminally ill people, dying and death on a daily basis. They are exposed to risks of cytostatic agents. They may often suffer from tiredness which can lead to disruption of social, physical and psychical wellfare and even to the burnout. Influenced by these factors the nurses often feel stressed and are not often familiar with how this stress can be prevented or tackled. A brochure based on the obtained information has therefore been compiled for nurses with the aim to inform them about these issues.
The growth of large crabgrass (Digitaria sanguinalis (L.) SCOP). biomass in salt contaminate soil - a greenhouse experiment
Nováková, Markéta ; Gajdová, Iveta ; Šerá, Božena
Large crabgrass (Digitaria sanguinalis (L.) SCOP.) is not registered on the list of Ellenbergs halophytic plant species. Despite it is a frequent species commonly growing along the roads on salt contaminated soils. The tests in the greenhouse were focused on finding the values of salinity in which Large crabgrass may produce biomass. Standard soil substrate contaminated by salt NaCl in the range from 0.12 % to 1.96 % was used. Tests have shown successful growth of underground and aboveground biomasses of tested plants in soil contaminated by lower concentrations of salt. Some plants despite the loss of biomass at higher concentrations were able to create generative organs with seeds. It was documented that Large crabgrass is a facultative halophyte.

Germination and early growth of buckwheat (Fagopyrum aesculentum) after low-temperature plasma discharge treatment in air gas generated in various apparatus were tested. Three pretreatment times were used: 180 s, 300 s and 600 s. Number of germinating achene, length and weight of sprouts were measured. The data was analysed with two-way ANOVA. A significant influence of the type of plasma apparatus, time of exposure and combination of both factors were found. The positive effect on germination and early growth was observed after application of GlidArc plasma. The opposite effect of PDBV apparatus, which is characterized by plasma with a high power density, was observed. Shorter pre-treatment times for this apparatus must be therefore used.
