Analysis of Man as Element of Accident System in Traffic

Transfer of dangerous substances in connection with safety at road traffic

The carriage of dangerous goods by road abides mainly by the European Agreement concerning the international carriage of dangerous goods by road `ADR{\crq}. The agreement was accepted by advanced countries in 1957 and The Czechoslovak Socialist Republic joined it in 1986, the Czech Republic became the full-fledged member on 1st January 1993 as a succesor of the former Czechoslovak Socialist Republic. Despite the fact that the development of industry has brought many products that we cannot imagine the existence of the modern society without, on the other hand, the integral part of them is production of dangerous goods, which brings a danger associated with their manufacture, storage, usage and transportation. On this account it is necessary to use all means to decrease potential hazards of a rise of accidents of vehicles transporting dangerous goods, which brings the biggest hazards to people{\crq}s health, their possession and ecological environment. As statistics show, one of the main agents of a rise of accidents is human failure. Even the most perfect regulations cannot avoid these or other hazards that menace whilst carrying dangerous goods. Though my effort was to refer to essential and the most important parts of the ADR agreement concerning the carriage of dangerous goods, to highlight the importance of exercising control over observing the regulations. Moreover, I wanted to point to the direct dependence of successful managing of solving uncommon situations on cooperation and instantiation of powers of all components of Integrated emergency system, and at the same time through a particular example from practice to mention the need of actualization of individual type plans and subsequent presentation of newly used methods and observations from solving crises situations and with them connected introduction of new ways of preparation for their solutions.
Accident frequency and its social effects

The thesis ``Accident frequency and its social effects{\crqq} focuses on traffic accidents caused by trespassing the law of speed limit and on social effects induced by accident frequency. Every year approximately one thousand people die on the Czech roads, other thousands of traffic accident victims face lifelong injury consequences. Apart from direct loss of lives, health and property, the traffic accidents carry a lot of other hardly denumerable costs starting at financing trip of ambulance, continuing with health care service expenses followed by convalescence, eventually social benefits for disabled and impacts on relatives of traffic accident victims. The aim of this work is to map the situation of serious traffic accidents where participants are seriously injured, or die and to infer the most serious social effects of these traffic accidents. To gather information in order to meet the objective of this hypothesis and to prove it a quantity research has been carried out. Secondary analysis of data from the records of Police of Czech Republic and the Ministry of the Interior has been chosen as a method to help verify the correctness of presumed hypothesis. In order to map the most serious social impacts, dialogs with randomly selected traffic accident participants who suffered lifelong consequences of their injuries were performed. The primary file contains participants of traffic accidents that happened in the Czech Republic and are registered in the registry of Police of Czech Republic in the period 2003-2006 and where the participants died, were seriously or lightly injured. Our hypothesis proven, that the most serious consequences of traffic accidents happen due to exceeding the speed limits . Also the most serious social impacts of traffic accidents were mapped.
Assessment of Pressure Vessels Safety

Conditions of pressure vessels breach are investigated in the present paper. Safety of the modified criteria application of Leak Before Break when a residual stress is found in the vessel material is analysed. Design criterion is based on a critical crack length which must be less than the thickness of the vessel wall. Superposition of residual stress, which occurs in the production of a vessel by impact extrusion, and the hoop stress caused by the internal pressure significantly affects the life and conditions of technical use. Size and character of the distribution of residual stresses were determined experimentally by use of the hole-drilling method. The numerical simulation and mathematical calculations have been carried out applying ANSYS and MATLAB software. The main attention was focused on the application of residual stress in the numerical analysis based on values obtained by the experimental measurements by hole–drilling method.

Snahou je nalézt nové způsoby preventivních opatření, které by v nich omezily na nejmenší možnou míru riziko otřesů. Kromě toho se v projektu řeší problematika zpřesnění lokace seismických jevů a rovněž zkoumá možnost použití vývrtů po trhací práci pro tlakové zavlažování v rámci protiotřesové prevence.

Posudek použitelnosti železobetonových desek s aplikací metody SBRA

The goal of the paper is serviceability assessment from the view point of limit deflections of simply supported reinforced concrete one-way slab. The slab is exposed to uniformly distributed dead load and imposed load. Most of input quantities are considered as random variables, including loadings, and described by corresponding bounded histograms, the assessment is performed using the fully probabilistic SBRA method.
Assessment of the bending carrying capacity of a concrete cross-section according to Eurocode and SBRA method

The paper deals with the reliability assessment of simply supported reinforced concrete beam from the viewpoint of bending, the reliability analysis is performed according to Eurocode compared with the calculation using probabilistic SBRA method. In the SBRA approach, all random variables are described using bounded histograms and its interactions are analyzed using direct Monte Carlo simulation technique.
