This diploma thesis deals with the effects of the present economic situation on companies operating in the construction sector in the Czech Republic. Thesis is focused on the period from 2004 to 2014. The aim of the thesis is at first analyse the sector with the aid of PEST method and identifying the macro factors that may affect the sector. As next is evaluated the present situation in the sector with the aid of basic building indicators and after that are tested dependencies between economic indicators and building industry. The analysis refers of the number of construction contracts, the number of building permits, the number of employed in construction and others. In the following part of thesis is evaluated the situation of selected companies operating in the sector on the basis of profit and economic value added.

The diploma thesis deals with the impact of the economic crisis in the retail sector in the Czech Republic during the years from 2000 to 2013. The aim of this work is to verify and followers finds an eventual impact of the economic crisis on selected indicators in retailing. The analysis is focus on total sales, employment and average monthly wage in the retail sector. The predictions of future development variables for the next two years are made for adequate models. The conclusion summarizes the main results of the work and for making appropriate recommendations for the development of this sector.

Srovnání vývoje kurzu akcií České spořitelny a Komerční banky

The thesis focuses on the development of stock rates between 1995 and 2013 in two banks which have most clients in Czech Republic. Their stocks are the most monitored on the czech market. One of them is Česká spořitelna, a.s. and the other is Komerční banka, a.s. The development is processed econometrically with time series analysis. These series are compared to form a conclusion. The next part of the thesis is creating a prediction of the stock development in the future. Recom-mendations for investors can be created with time series, so they can choose the most suitable bank for their investments, considering the profitability.

Tourism is among important sectors of the national economy of the Czech Repub-lic, while belonging to the service sector. It is significant because of its impact on the labor market, businesses, transport, environment, etc. The performance of this sector is dependent on external factors -- the situation abroad, natural disasters, political situation. This work deals with the impact of the economic crisis in the tourism sector in the country. This thesis aims to verify and quantify the impact of the economic depression on tourism in the Czech Republic and predict possible future developments in this area. First the definition of tourism. It is then observed the development of tourism at a time in the Czech Republic and describes signifi-cant factors affecting tourism. The following is an estimate of the individual mo-dels, which are studied classical regression model assumptions. On select models, predictions are made for future development and compiled confidence intervals.

This diploma thesis deals with econometrical modelling of the maize market in the Czech Republic. It includes regression equations of supply, demand and price of maize in the Czech Republic, which are interpreted and compared with the results of foreign studies. The thesis is supplemented with an analysis of the development of global, European and domestic markets for the period from 1992 to 2012. The ordinary least squares method was used to estimate the models.
