Possibilities and limitations of RepRap 3D printers and their use in the market
Žižka, Ondřej ; Sigmund, Tomáš (advisor) ; Jetenský, Pavel (referee)
Theoretical part of the thesis is devoted to the relationship of open source licensing to innovation, rapid prototyping and technologies used for 3D printing. There is also a comparison of selected RepRap printers. The main objective is to explore the possibilities and limitations of RepRap 3D printers while also analyzing their use in the Czech market. The aim of the application part is to test selected RepRap printer and explore the possibilities of 3D printing on these devices. In the last part of the thesis research has been conducted on the use of 3D printers. It's objective is to answer the main research question - who and for what purpose uses and aquires 3D printers
3D printing and its use in technical education
HŘAVA, Jan
3D printing is a technology which by using a speci c devices produce threedimensional objects from a suitable material. Print by layers is controlled by the control electronics based on the original data. The aim of this thesis is to describe this new technology from the perspective of a software developer and designer of products or components using 3D applications with a focus on the possible use in technical education. The work will present the technical principles of 3D printing, review the available software and hardware, usable materials and design of a speci c product including its practical implementation. As part of this thesis in cooperation with teachers of specialized subjects at selected technically oriented high schools of South Bohemian Region, will be created a draft of possible inclusion of this technology in teaching with problems of related subjects.
Progressive technologies in furniture design
Šebková, Martina
Šebková, M. Progressive technologies in furniture design. Diploma thesis, Brno, Mendel University in Brno, 2014 Diploma thesis 'Progressive technologies in furniture design' is focused on the use of modern technologies in furniture production. The theoretical part explains the basic terms, technology and material options. It focuses mainly on the production of 3D printed furniture and possibilities of virtual testing, measurements, scanning and rapid prototyping. Practical part of diploma thesis consists in design of seating furniture. The product is 3D printed furniture and it is applied 3D modelling, 3D digitization, and measurements. The aim is to point out new possibilities of fabrication and furniture design.
A three-dimensional model of the Český Krumlov historic centre and its potential for 3D printing
KOKTAN, Petr
Nowadays, the 3D model of particular city's buildings has been created. This bachelor thesis deals with the 3D model of Effenberg brewery, Český Krumlov. This model is digitally modelled and textured. The attention is paid to the 3D printer which has been used for printing of the created 3D model using available materials. Current trends of 3D printing, up-to-date technologies and their utilization are described in the next part of this thesis. The aim of bachelor thesis is to create real 3D model of Effenberg brewery, which has been successfully fulfilled.
