The evaluation of basic farm economical indicators in milk production
ZÁMOSTNÝ, Lukáš
The milk production effectiveness is very hard to achieve. The reason is the high realizing price fluctuations of milk. Only the company which has high-quality herd with excellent efficiency and milk quality, supported by modern technologies (milk house, welfare, agricultural machines) can run in the long term. These important factors can be guaranteed only by an excellent management, which leads the company and by the competent leading workers educated both in vegetable production and in animal husbandry. The interconnection and quality communication between management and production is substantial, only then the direct reaction to the events outside and inside the company is possible. The research clearly shows that the collective farm Struhařov wends its way towards the right direction and its competitiveness rises constantly. Modernization and renovation of the agricultural machinery are in progress. And as a consequence of these, the costs are reduced gradually and the quality and the quantity of the milk production are rising. For the mentioned reasons the quantity of drawn milk on each milk cow has risen in 5 years-time by ? and this is a very important efficiency indicator of the company. The only reason why the collective farm hasn?t reached profit was the purchasing price of milk.
Analysis of the causes for discarding dairy Holstein cattle
PROVAZNÍK, Pavel
The bachelor thesis analyses the causes of discarding of dairy cows of Holstein cattle. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the most common causes, which lead to discarding of dairy cows from breeding in collective farm Trhový Štěpánov a. s. In this thesis were evaluated the results for 294 dairy cows in 2010. The underlying data were obtained from Dairyplan programm on the farm in Trhový Štěpánov, from economic analysis of ZD Trhový Štěpánov a. s. between 2008 and 2010 and from the annual report for each year. In 2010 there were discarded 294 dairy cows from total 864 pieces, that means 34 % of total number. Among causes of discarding of dairy cows belong low productivity, other zootechnical reasons, udder desease, fertility disorders, difficult births and other health reasons. The most dairy cows were discarded for other health reasons. To other health reasons belong liver desease, displacement of abomasum, paratuberculosis and bad condition of limbs. For these reasons it was discarded more than 57 % of dairy cows. The second most common reason was the fertility disorder with less than 16% of dairy cows and the least of dairy cows were discarded for the bad condition of udder and the other zootechnical reasons. Analysed causes of discarding of dairy cows in ZD Trhový Štěpánov a. s. mainly agree with results of control of productivity in the whole Czech Republic.
The analysis of the production efficiency of ostrich breeding at the farm of Čenkov.
KŘÍŽOVÁ, Iveta
The topic of the thesis is the analysis of the level of production efficiency of ostrich breeding and also the evaluation of the production conditions. The ostrich breeding was monitored in 2010 at the ostrich farm of Čenkov at Odolená Voda by the method of personal participation in caring of the animals. Later on, the results were evaluated on the grounds of this monitoring and on the grounds of study of both expert literature and legislation on ostrich breeding. The results of production efficiency do not meet any quota parameters. Demands on breeding ostriches arising from valid legislation on livestock breeding and from ostrich breeder regulations are met. Respectively, thanks to the system of lax grazing, where the animals have sufficient space for free movement, grazing behaviour and feed behaviour, and where they get their feeding ration.
