Preliminary study of effect of forest management on soil biological activity in Šumava National Park
OTÁHALOVÁ, Šárka
This thesis is written as research project application. It is focused on an impact of forest management on soil biological activity in soil in Šumava National Park. This project is a part of a general study of overall impact of salvage logging on the soil - soil chemistry, microbial activity, soil animals, vegetation cover, temperature and humidity.
Estimate of available nutrients in forest soil after bark beetle outbreak of stands after salvage logging and of stands left without intervention in the Šumava National park
DRÁBKOVÁ, Marie
The aim of this study is to estimate and compare the amount of available nutrients in forest soil of stands where the salvage logging took place after the dieback of the forest caused by bark beetle outbreak and of stands left without any intervention in protected areas in Šumava National Park. The study also focus on the influence of the vegetation cover and decaying wood on the soil chemistry, especially on the cationt exchange capacity, base cationts and aluminium contents. Preliminary results and proposal of future research are given.
Develop a proposal equipment for measuring soil profile from the designated plane.
REJŠEK, Roman
This thesis deals with the general ways of measuring of agriculturally cultivated land, describing their distribution, function, operation, etc. Especially, this thesis solves the problem of the finder's proposal of measuring distance from the designated lowland.
The specific project procedure of the complex land regulation in concrete cadastral territory
STRNADOVÁ, Irena
The present Bachelor thesis deals with the specific project procedure in the Cadastral territory Maříž, located in the district of Jindřichův Hradec in the southwest of Moravia. It presents the results drawn from the project documents, terrain explorations, perimeter determinations and borderlines investigations within the complex land regulation. The Bachelor thesis aims at evaluation of the examined facts in order to be able to build a preparation of requirement and another step in the project procedure within the framework of the complex land regulation.
Indirect speciation of mercury in soils and sediments with cold vapor atomic absorption spectrometry.
ŠPAČKOVÁ, Jitka
In the diploma thesis have been tested four extraction techniques for isolation of organic forms of mercury from sediments (liquid liquid extraction, microwave extraction in liquid liquid extraction, solid phase extraction and extraction with use of ionic exchange) followed by determination of mercury by atomic absorption spectrometer AMA?254. It has been achieved great results during liquid liquid extraction likewise ionic exchange extraction. Reached percents of orgHg were in accord with certified reference material for sediments CRM-580 and corresponded to 86,44 ? 16,63 %, resp. 87,01 ? 29,22 %. Thanks to a simple procedure, extraction speed and ease of determination of organic forms of mercury contain was first of all (in the first instance) verified a method with use of ionic exchange, whose principle and procedure is very elementary. This technique was applied to a number of real sediment samples collected from water tanks Jordan and Skalka. It was approved that this method has been presenting a suitable alternative to chromatographic methods or methods of electro?migration.
Does ligninolytic enzyme activity depend on phenolics content during the litter decomposition?
APPLOVÁ, Markéta
The aim of the study was to determine the influence of phenolics content and inoculation with soil extract on microbial respiration, on the phenoloxidase (PhOx), peroxidase (PerOx) and newly Mn-peroxidase (MnP) activity in two dominating litter samples (Calamagrostis villosa and Picea abies) differing in phenolics content from Plešné and Čertovo lake watersheds. At PhOx and PerOx activity, the dependence on incubation temperature with L-DOPA was estimated. PhOx and MnP activities significantly increased with higher content of hardly decomposable phenolics, but decreased with water extractable phenolics content. Inoculation with soil extract had no influence on microbial respiration, enzyme activity, nor on decomposition of phenolics. Microbial respiration was significantly higher at 10°C, but average enzyme activity was comparable at 0 and 10°C. PhOx activities had temperature optimum higher than 22°C, while PerOx activities had temperature optimum at 0 - 15°C.
The effect of deforestation of mountain catchments on surface water quality
TOMKOVÁ, Iva
This bachelor thesis summarizes (i) changes in soil and surface water composition in mountain catchments after their deforestation due to by bark beetle outbreak, windstorm, and timber harvesting, and (ii) monitoring of environmental parameters necessary for evaluation and quantification of these changes.
Occurrence of mercury in the soil of South Bohemia.
MACHOVÁ, Zdeňka
The work is concerned with mercury appearance in forest and agricultural soils. There is description of process of specimens collection and treatment. The soil specimens were picked up in the selected habitats in South Bohemia. Among studied areas belongs: Lenora near Prachatice, Břehov near České Budějovice, Lužice near Netolice and Velký Chuchelec near Kaplice. There were collected specimens of forest soils, arable land soils, meadows and pastures. Total content of mercury in soils was determined out by the help of atomic absorbtion spectrometric method (CV-AAS) with technique generating cold vapor and gold trap preconcentration. Outcomes were compared with each other in terms of the farming way, locality and vegetation. The data were treated with statistical method ANOVA in programme STATISTICA CZ6. In forest soils there was found the most total content of mercury in the humic horizons in Lenora area on the Chlustov hill - east 0,574 {$\pm$} 0,042 mg.kg-1 dry matter. The least of all of the total content of mercury in forest soils was measured in the second mineral A2 horizon in Břehov area 0,017 {$\pm$} 0,001 mg.kg -1 dry matter. In the agricultural soils there was found the most total quantity of mercury in Lužice area in meadow soil in taking depth into 15 cm 0,088 {$\pm$} 0,007 mg.kg -1 dry matter. On the contrary for at least of total content of mercury was measured out in locality Lužice in arable land in taking depth into 40 cm 0,012 {$\pm$} 0,0001 mg.kg -1 of dry matter. Submission working hypothesis about the influence of land management have the best statistically significantly proved in locality Lužice and Velky Chuchelec. From the results is evident that the way of the use has affect on content of the total content mercury in soil. But there are some other factors which have influence on the mercury content. In the forest soils there was proved statistically relevant effect of sort and age vegetation on the mercury total contant in soils.
Effect of application of pesticides on soil biodiversity
VOKOUN, Josef
In the Czech Agriculture sprayers used a variety of manufacturers, which particularly differ construction of the main functional unit, which has a significant impact on pesticide application. Goal of this paper is to compare the mode of application of protective agents sprayer with and without air support and assess the impact of pesticides on the environment (biodiversity, soil) and activity sprayer.
