The differencis of nurse treatment by Patients with TEP(total hip replecament) and with CCEP(cerviko capital replecament).
BUKÁČKOVÁ, Kristýna
This bachelor thesis focuses on the differences in nursing care of patients after TEP (total endoprosthesis) and after CCEP (cervical-capital endoprosthesis). The reason that led me to deal with this subject was the fact that I consider the knowledge of this matter as well as observing its principles by nurses for necessary. The objective of the thesis was to find out whether nurses know the difference in the nursing care of patients after TEP and CCEP, and whether they observe the differences in the nursing care. These objectives were fulfilled in the bachelor thesis. Two hypotheses were laid down. Hypothesis 1: Nurses know the difference in nursing care of patients after TEP and CCEP. Hypothesis 2: Nurses observe the difference in nursing care of patients after TEP and CCEP. The hypotheses were confirmed. The theoretical part of the thesis is focused on the anatomy and physiology of the hip bone and the historical development of endoprostheses. Further, the subject of the TEP and CCEP is dealt with here. It contains descriptions of the differences in the nursery care that nurses should put a lot of emphasis on and observe them. In the research part, the quantitative investigation by means of the questioning method, in the form of a questionnaire, and the qualitative research by means of the method of participating hidden observation, were chosen to verify the hypotheses. In practice, this thesis may be used in seminars, in which even the results of investigations may be dealt with, thus increasing the quality of the nursing care of patients after TEP (total endoprosthesis) and CCEP (cervical-capital endoprosthesis).
Contentment of retirements homes clients with nursing care.
PECHOVÁ, Veronika
This bachelor thesis focuses on satisfaction of clients with nursing care in senior citizen homes. The theoretical part of my thesis describes old age and aging, changes in old age, the importance of family support, quality of provided care and also senior citizen homes. In the practical part I have compared two - in terms of size - different senior citizens homes. The main objective was to determine the level of satisfaction of clients in the senior citizen homes with the provided nursing care. Three hypotheses were formulated for the purpose. H1: Clients of the senior citizens homes are satisfied with the nursing care; H2: The size of senior citizen homes affects satisfaction of the clients with the nursing care; and H3: The size of senior citizen homes affects overall satisfaction of the clients. The research used a qualitative survey method with questionnaires. The questionnaire contained 23 questions. Two senior citizens homes were selected to collect data. The first one was a big senior citizens home Máj in České Budějovice, with the capacity of 127 clients, and the second one was a smaller senior citizen home in Kaplice for 54 clients. 50 questionnaires were distributed in each facility, i.e. 100 questionnaires in total. The results have shown that 50% of the clients ranked the nursing care as excellent and 38% as very good. This means that the hypothesis No. 1 has been confirmed. Also the hypothesis No. 2 has been confirmed as clients in the smaller facility had more confidence in the nursing staff as a result of a closer and more personal relationship and therefore they also gave better ranking to the quality of nursing care. The hypothesis No. 3 has not been confirmed. The size of senior citizen homes does not affect the overall satisfaction of the clients. The comparison of results from the questionnaires from the involved facilities has shown that both the homes have their pros and contras. Among the advantages clients from the smaller home mentioned a more personal approach, family atmosphere and sufficiently quiet environment. As a negative they mentioned lack of cultural activities. In the bigger facility the clients praised opportunities to enjoy cultural life but they did not like lack of quiet environment and a less personal approach of the nursing staff.
The Options of Activation in the Clients of an Old People´s Home in the Tábor Region
MICÁKOVÁ, Vladimíra
My baccalaureate work deals with the topic ``The Options of Activation in the Clients of an Old People´s Home in the Tábor Region{\crqq}. Demographic studies have shown a rapid increase in the numbers of old people in society, and, as a result of this fact, the numbers of senior citizens accommodated in old people´s homes have grown, too. It is essential to improve the quality of provided services in these institutions so that senior citizens get the opportunity to develop leisure time activities in compliance with their interests, to be engaged in these activities in accordance with their abilities and, finally, not to lose the sense of a meaningful life. One of the options how to achieve the above goals, at least partially, is the individual approach of the staff as well as well-designed activations programmes, which will increase the quality of life of clients. The objective of my work has been to monitor the activation options in selected institutions of the Tábor Region in the Old People´s Home Tep based in Veselí nad Lužnící and in the Senior Home located in Soběslav. The qualitative research approach was selected. The first method used was the SWOT analysis describing strong and weak sides, opportunities and risks of activation programmes in these institutions. A partial goal consisted in comparing the offered activities with the individual clients´ interests and achieved rate of satisfaction. For comparison purposes the method of semi-controlled interviews with clients and staff was applied. 20 clients and 5 staff members from each institution were selected by random choice. The research results suggest that the objectives of my baccalaureate work have been fulfilled. The research has shown that a suitable selection of an activation programme based on the individual needs and wishes of the clients results in the feeling of happiness, satisfaction and a meaningful life. At the same time, the physical and psychic condition of the client can be improved. The results of my baccalaureate work provide a more detailed information and survey on activation programmes rendered in accommodation institutions for senior citizens. They can also serve as a feedback for the needs of staff in these institutions in terms of the evaluation of the satisfaction of clients with offered activities.
Nursing problems with a client suffering from pollen allergy
DOLEŽEL, Jakub
The seasonal allergic rhinitis, pollinosis, is the most common allergic disorder the occurrence of which, as well as other allergies, has substantially increased over recent years. It affects up to one fifth of population. This type of allergy may develop at any time during the lifetime, but it most frequently occurs between ages 15 and 25. The topic of the thesis is: Aspects of nursing in patients suffering from allergic rhinitis. The aim of my thesis was to find out if patients are familiar with regimen measures in allergic rhinitis, the role of a nurse in an allergic rhinitis patient´s education, if patients show interest in obtaining information on allergic rhinitis and which information sources on allergic rhinitis are used by patients. The coverage of the issue is based on specialist literature and the quantitative research conducted. The quantitative research is composed of two parts. The first research group was formed by patients suffering from allergic rhinitis who come to allergist´s office. The questionnaire technique was used to collect relevant data. The other research group was composed of nurses working in allergist´s offices. The data were gained by the interview method, the technique of a structured interview. The first hypothesis predicating that patients do not know the regimen measures was rejected both by the questionnaire technique and the interview method. The second hypothesis stating that nurses do not educate patients with allergic rhinitis was also rejected both by the questionnaire investigation and the structured interview. The third hypothesis claiming that patients do not show interest in obtaining information on allergic rhinitis was rejected both by the questionnaire technique and the interview method. The fourth hypothesis presuming that the most frequent source of information on allergic rhinitis are information brochures was confirmed by the questionnaire research. In my thesis I used excerpts from 22 resources of Czech and foreign literature dealing not only with the topic of allergic rhinitis.

BUDNIKOVOVÁ, Eva
Abstract Ensuring of Respite Care Services in the Česká Lípa Region after Releasing of Patients from Hospital The goal of this thesis is to map the scope, the quality and further relationships of respite care in the Česká Lípa region in case of patients released from hospitals for whom a respite care is indicated, to find shortcomings of the systém and to propose optimal solutions of problems. There were two hypotheses set: H1: Sufficient respite care services are not provided to clients at weekends, H2: Consecutive respite care is not duly indicated by physicians to all clients released from hospitals who need it. The theoretical part of the thesis describes characteristics of respite care, its meaning and the process of ins development. The research was carried out trough the questioning method, using questionnaires and anasysis of documents. The other part of the thesis presents the results of performed quantitative research. These results were acquired by means of evaluation of questionnaires. The anasysis of acquired data confirmed both the supposed hypotheses. The discussion elucidates some problems related to the given theme and the conclusion of the thesis recommends some measures to improve the quality and continuity of providing the respite care services in the Česká Lípa region. The results of the thesis may inspire the existing as well as newly established respite care agencies to increase the quality of respite care.
Clients foreknowledge problems of postoperative and subsequent care after replacement of the cardiac valve
PRŮŠOVÁ, Vendula
Problems of clients` knowledgeability of postoperative and follow-up care in the case of heart valve substitute. Heart valve defects are unpredictable diseases that can exist without any symptoms for a long time. Heart valve operations comprise the most frequent group second to by-pass operations and nearly a half of all heart-surgical interventions with adult clients. The aim of the thesis was to find out about clients` knowledgeability of postoperative and follow-up care in the case of heart valve substitute, and what kind of information is needed to achieve by the clients from nurses; what educational materials are used to inform the clients with heart valve substitute and also to find out who are the clients with heart valve substitute informed by. Two hypotheses were predefined: 1 {--} Clients are satisfied with the provided information about postoperative and follow-up care in the case of heart valve substitute; 2 {--} Clients are informed about postoperative and follow-up care in the case of heart valve substitute. Three research inquiries were formed: 1 {--} Which is the most frequent information needed by clients with heart valve substitute from nurses? 2 {--} What kind of education is used for clients with heart valve substitute? 3 {--} Who are the clients with heart valve substitute informed by? Collecting data was performed using the combination of quantitative and qualitative research methods. The quantitative ones were performed as questioning using the technique of a questionnaire, while the qualitative methods used the technique of a semi-standard dialogue. The research sample were the clients with heart valve substitute hospitalised in the cardiosurgical departments of the teaching hospitals in Motol, in Plzeň, in the Hospital České Budějovice, a joint-stock company, and nurses working in those departments. 80 questionnaires for clients were distributed, 74 of them were filled in and returned. Ten nurses were addressed. The above-mentioned four aims were fulfilled. Hypotheses H1 and H2 were confirmed. The nurses answered the research inquiries 1,2 and 3; the answers were analysed and the analyses were used for forming the hypotheses: 1. The most frequent information needed by clients with heart valve substitute from nurses are about moving activity, pain, physiotherapy, connection to instruments, possible complications, about housework, possible staying in spa, return to the occupation, principle of taking Warfarin, about regullary cardiology control. 2. The clients with heart valve substitute are educated by discussion and by the informational brochure. 3. The clients with heart valve substitute are educated by the doctor and the nurse. The results of this thesis will be submitted to the managements of the above mentioned hospitals as material to consider amending the informational brochure for the clients so that they would get the missing information about postoperative and follow-up care in the case of heart valve substitute. I suppose that education{\crq}s efficiency and forknowledge of the clients with heart valve substitute could be improved in this way.
The issue of illegal migration and various approaches to its solution
PROCHÁZKOVÁ, Lenka
This thesis deals with the issue of illegal migration in the Czech Republic and various approaches to its solution. First of all, it provides a complex survey of the problem. It views the problem in the context of international migration, labor migration and the legislative framework of the Czech Republic, as regards its relation to foreigners. The goal is to compare and evaluate individual possibilities of dealing with illegal migration from the point of view of governmental and non-governmental institutions, and to propose an optimal solution. The thesis presents indepth interviews with representatives of seven different institutions. It turns out that particular solutions of illegal migration can not be separated, rather they must be viewed in the context of all other solutions. The priorities of the fight with illegal migration are the following: cooperation with countries of origin, enlightenment of both, potential immigrants as well as their potential employers, getting rid of ``push{\crqq} factors in countries of origin, and elimination of the main ``pull{\crqq} factor which is the possibility of getting an illegal job in the target country. The main output of my thesis research is pinpointing recommendations and conclusions which should be considered when looking for an optimal solution to the issue of illegal migration. I also present a few hypotheses for further research. When looking for an optimal solution the crucial task is played by the high-quality discussion on both levels, the professional as well as the public one. I suppose that this work has enhanced such discussion, furthermore, it can enhance such debate in the future too.
Demands and risks of nursing work providing nursing care to agressive patients.
VORLOVÁ, Gabriela
This bachelor work is trying to analyse how demanding and risky nursing is when aggressive clients are treated. The theoretical part describes the origin of aggressive behaviour, types of aggression and situations which generate aggressive behaviour. All nursing parts of the problem are described here such as a preparation for the arrival of a disturbed client, his reception to the hospital and the main tasks of nurses in the psychiatric ward. Some other methods how to calm down and restrict the patient are also analysed. A quantitative approach, questioning and semistructured interviews were used to collect all data in this work. The interview consisted of 28 questions and each respondent could answer in his words. The data were collected in mental hospitals in Havlíčkův Brod and Prague-Bohnice and in a psychiatric ward of the hospital in České Budějovice. Nurses who work with aggressive patients answered to the questions. Some results are demonstrated in graphs and tables and some answers are thoroughly analysed. Five objectives were stated at the beginning of the research and all of them were fulfilled. Eight research issues were set and they were gradually responded and the hypotheses were specified. The work reached the conclusion that nursing staff provides a very demanding and risky job when they treat aggressive patients. The nurses know what to do if the patients attack them to avoid injuries of nursing staff , the aggressive patient himself and other patients. They can use a restrictive methods in such situations. On the other hand, they would praise a training course in self-defence and communication with aggressive clients as well as more men staff in the wards.
Cooperation between nurse and client´s relations hospitalizationed in house department
JÍLKOVÁ, Veronika
Medical workers, patients and family members are three groups, which often meet in demanding and critical situations, which they tend to experience in different ways. That is why the inforamtion leak may occur and also the basic conditions are not met (and this applies not only to clients, but also to specialists). Nurses should be opened to communication with family members and regularly offer them the exchange of informations. If the family comes with new ideas, we should be able to find a way to transform them into our profession. We should be able to counsel the family on where to get help or additional informations, or coordinate them. The cooperation between medical workers and family members creates the sanctuary of peace, where the patient and his family feel much better then they used to in the times, when profesionals used to be too much authoritative The subject of my bachelors work is the cooperation between nurses, family members and clients hospitalizated on the ward of internal medicine. The aim is to find out, how nurses percieve the family members of the clients hospitalized on the ward of internal medicine.find out which problems represent the greatest struggle for nurses, who have to deal with family memebers of hospitalized client. find out, whether the family members are satisfied with nursing staff on the ward of internal medicine. The vital informations were collected using the method of answering sheets, which were filled in by the nurses working on the ward of internal medicine and by the relatives of hospitalized clients on the ward of internal medicine of the České Budějovice Hospital. Hypothesis No. 1: `` The Hypothesis that the nurses in the internal department perceive the presence of the hospitalized patients{\crq} family members positively{\crqq} was confirmed. Hypothesis No. 2: `` The Hypothesis that the nurses are lacking the understanding of given information in the communication with the hospitalized patients{\crq} family members{\crqq} was not confirmed. Hypothesis No. 3: `` The Hypothesis that the hospitalized patients{\crq} family members are satisfied with cooperation with the attending personnel in the internal department{\crqq} was confirmed. I hope, that the findings made by me, will help widen the space for cooperation between nurses and family members of our patients, help realize better exchange of informations between families and nurses, which will lead to better treatment for our patiens.
COMMUNICATION AS THE PART OF NURSING CARE
FIALOVÁ, Hana
My final project was divided into two parts- theoretical and practical one. In the theoretical part I focused on the definition of communication itself as well as the communication in terms of nursing care. In the practical part I am dealing with the results of the socilogical research based on the questionnaire. I interviewed the nurses in the Rest centre in České Budějovice and Žďár nad Sázavou. I also worked with a great deal of interviews with the clients in these two institutions.
