Enzymatic hydrolysis of waste paper pulp - source of raw material for production of liquid biofuels
Brummer, Vladimír ; Ing.Marián Illáš (referee) ; Gabriel, Petr (advisor)
This master’s thesis is aimed at process of enzymatic hydrolysis of lignocellulosic material – waste paper as a source of raw material for production of liquid biofuels. In the theoretical part of this work are summarized previously used methods of hydrolysis and lignocellulosic materials used for the process of hydrolysis as a source of fermentable sugars for fermentation technology. The different types of waste paper are evaluated from the composition and usability with consideration to the papermaking process in order to select the appropriate type of waste paper for the enzymatic hydrolysis process. In the next part of this work are suggested technological premises and procedures for the preparation of raw materials and the subsequent enzymatic hydrolysis of these pre–treated materials. In the experimental part were optimized parameters of enzymatic hydrolysis using the Novozymes company enzyme package. Enzymatic degradation of cellulose to reducing sugars was observed using Somogyi – Nelson method. For the verification of hydrolysis conditions were used model materials with high cellulose content – pulp and filter paper. Conditions, which seems to be the best after testing on the model materials, were verified on specific waste paper materials – offset cardboard, recycled paper, matte MYsol paper and for comparison again on model materials – pulp and filter paper. The highest yields was achieved with the use of cardboard, which was further tested using various combinations of pretreatment to material for purpose of increase the yields of hydrolysis.
City Library, Lausanne
Jašek, Jiří ; Sedlák, Jaroslav (referee) ; Koleček, Ivan (advisor)
The main issue when designing libraries of Lausanne was an environment in which the library is located. The city is relatively steeply sloping from the Lac Léman and because they offer interesting views of the lake from many places in the city. In this system, when the views are oriented south toward the lake, is a territory that differs in structure from the rest of the city. The valley in which the river flowed Flon in the 19th century were filled on a flat surface vzikly industrial buildings with rational structure that crossed the railroad.
Overlaps
Golianová, Veronika ; Kopečková, Veronika (referee) ; Macháček, Mikuláš (advisor)
This thesis is focused on interconnection of literary, visual and material forms. Viktor Dyk’s work Rat Catcher has been graphically edited and completed with original paper illustrations. These were crated using three different editions of the book. They all differenciated by publising style, thypography and paper quality that has been used through 20th century. The choice of specific fragments for specific chapter s allowed for intense connection of visual and literary content.
Methodology of Selection of Means for Mechanical Cleaning of Dust Particles from Paper Surface
Benešová, M. ; Mašková, Ludmila
The aim of this work was to identify methods of mechanical cleaning of dust particles from the paper surface, which are suitable for use in the restoration practice. For this purpose 15 methods of mechanical cleaning were tested. The basic requirement was the applicability of the methodology for the most restorers. Therefore the methodology included only approaches which do not require any special equipment. The results showed that the type of paper has no effect to cleaning results and the main criterion for selection of means of treatment is the extent of soiling.

Analysis of company Antalis, Ltd. in terms methods of organizing supplies, logistics and process management
ŠVESTKOVÁ, Soňa
Bachelor thesis dealt with the problems of storage, the amount of supplies and logistics. The objective was to analyze the activity of selected company in terms of methods of organization of stocks, logistics and process management with a focus on one of the main products of the company. The introductory part sums up the basic theoretical concepts related to this topic. The main part is focused on the analysis of stocks, logistics, forecast of orders and analysis of supplier relations in order to uncover weaknesses of the current situation in the company. From the find fact were proposed two possible solutions for improving the organization of stock and evaluation of suppliers.
Use of paper folding techniques in teaching mathematics
MRÁZ, Luděk
The target of the Bachelor's thesis "Use of paper folding techniques in teaching mathematics" is to highlight the importance of origami in mathematics and its subsequent use as a suitable tool in lessons of mathematics in primary or in secondary schools. Most of the work is devoted to practical problems. It means constructions of planar and spatial figures and solving interesting or problematic tasks which are accompanied by graphics solutions and proofs.
Business plan for selling organic and healthy products
Piknová, Marcela ; Habrmanová, Blanka (advisor) ; Srpová, Jitka (referee)
Thesis on business plan Ecointerier is to assess the feasibility and viability of a project to create a new company. Another detecting factor is capital intensity of foundation and of the company's operations. The company has to deal with sale of paper furniture and original interior accessories that are also environmentally friendly. In the business plan is applied approach called "business minimalism" and other innovative approaches. The focus is placed on the marketing and use of contacts, new materials, with free capacities of advertising industry. The result is to check the amount of necessary expenses, the profit and minimizing upfront investments. It shall be considered whether it is realistic and profitable business to operate while at work.
Technological processes of paper weaving
KOZELKOVÁ, Libuše
The thesis is focused on the well-known material ? the paper ? its historical development, as well as the hand and machine production, its sorts and properties. The thesis explains its use while weaving the utility items and explores the possibility, how its help to apply the techniques of traditional folk crafts: especially basketry and straw processing. The bachelor thesis presents the basic technological procedures of the paper weaving. This activity awakens the creativity of the human and it gives him the possibility to produce new products from old and unneeded material. Their appearance is designed and produced by the manufacturer himself. Tools and materials for this activity are available to everyone and in comparison with other materials low cost. Paper weaving can be performed during leisure activities and occupational therapy.
Historical development and conditions in processes with separated municipal waste in Czech republic
MOJŽIŠ, Lukáš
The aim was to map the first and second link in the chain municipal waste management, particularly with municipal sorted waste. I focused on the core components of municipal waste - paper, plastic and glass. The thesis examined public awareness about waste, how well informed they are and whether people are interested in products made from recycled materials. The second part was to describe the situation in a company dealing with waste, described problems are encountered and to find the steps that would lead to improve this situation
Influence of release frequency of containers for separated household refuse to separation intensity of the waste.
JANEŠÍKOVÁ, Michaela
The thesis is evaluating the influence of frequency balance of containers for sorted for sorted waste for the intensity of sorting in two locations in České Budějovice. The influence was examined using three independent methods (monitoring the filling of containers ? by a balancing caluclation ? by a questionnaire) At the assessment of the impact of collection frequency to the selection account was taken of the following criteria: full containers at the time of collection, walking distance of population to the containers for sorted waste, type of buildings in the monitored area, sorted waste containers capacity, the amount of sorted waste, population per one collection point, etc. The results showed that the level of sorting of mixed waste in České Budějovice is not at good level. Collection frequency of sorted waste is sufficient and is not limiting to the intensity of sorting. For the efficiency of collection there is proposed tu optimize the placement od containers for sorted waste, to consider a different system off collection for residential areas, to introdukce a special containers for sorting of PET bottles and to raise form filling of paper containers by englightenment.
