Literary text as a tool of environmental education in Leisure Education

The thesis deals with literary text as a tool for environmental education in leasure education. The theoretical part describes an approach to environmental education in Framework Education Programme for Preschool Education. The theoretical part is also focused on the function of environmental education in development of personality of preschool children, defines forest kindergartens and their pedagogical approach. The theoretical part also deals with literary text as a tool to develop abilities through environmental education and offers a list and descriptions of selected educational methods useful when working with literary text in kindergartens. The content of practical part concentrates on creation of set of worskheeets and methodical sheets and their verification in a forest kindergarten.
Insects - theme for art activities in kindergarten

The theme of this bachelor thesis are insect themed art activities with preschool children. The theoretical part deals with the development of preschool children and the development of children's art expression. Furthermore, environmental education in preschool age, its goals, means and methods. For a deeper examination of the topic, the theoretical part also includes a chapter focusing on insects in fine art. In the practical part there are realized art lessons, of which each lesson focuses mainly on one kind of insects. Part of each lesson is its subsequent evaluation, which includes answers to research questions using structured observation. The aim of the bachelor's thesis is to understand the topic of insects as a specific topic for art activities of children in kindergarden. And watch how children's relationships and attitudes towards insects change, how it expands their interests.
Creation an educational route for preschool children

The thesis deals with the environmental education in kindergarten and creation of the educational trail. The theoretical part of the thesis contains information and basic facts about history of environmental education. It also focuses on the legislative entrenchment within the Czech Republic and preschool education. Finally, it introduces the specific use of environmental education in kindergartens. It focuses on objectives and suitable methods for preschool education. In the practical part, the method of nature walks and educational trails was used and educational trails for preschool were created. The trails were specifically situated into the area of Křemežsko, which is often the destination of walks of Kindergarten Chlum and is also within walking distance for Kindergarten Křemže. In this location are meadows, forest, brook, stream, mill drive, linden alley and mill. It is accessible for pedestrians, lies off the main road. Three teaching programs were created on the educational trails concerning the topics Water, Plants and Lifeless Nature. In every program are six stops, guided by specific fairy or pixie according to the topic. The methodological material for teachers of local kindergartens was created, containing general information about trails, describes individual stops in detail and the annex includes all the necessary material for use on the trails.
Environmental education as part of SEP school after-school clubs

The bachelor thesis consists of a theoretical and a practical part. The aim of the theoretical part is to classify and describe information related to the topic of the work. We characterize the concept of leisure time, teacher of leisure time, ecology and environmental education. The characteristics of the school group, functions, legislation and documentation, the creation of the school educational program of the school group and the role of the educator also have their place here. The theoretical part concludes with a chapter on the implementation of the school garden project within the school group. In the practical part, I find out the importance of quality leisure time outdoors in the psyche and behavior of children. As part of the methodology, I used a questionnaire for parents.
Agriculture as a topic for environmental education in kindergarten

The bachelor thesis deals with environmental education in connection with agricultural management. The theoretical part of the work provides basic information about agriculture in the Czech Republic, its history and relationship to the environment. It introduces basic concepts such as organic or sustainable agriculture. It also deals with a closer understanding of the relationship between environmental education and kindergarten. It also focuses on teachers, the age peculiarities of children, applicable methods and possible risks. In the practical part, participatory observation and interviews were used, the aim of which was to find out what methods kindergarten teachers use to acquaint children with agriculture. In the last part there is a demonstration of activities that can be implemented with preschool children.
Environmental literacy at secondary vocational schools

The Bachelor thesis deals with the topic of environmental literacy at the Czech middle and vocational schools. The aim of the thesis was to find out and evaluate what attitude, behaviour, knowledge, sensitivity and relation to the nature the students have. The Middle School Environmental Literacy Survey (MSELS) was used to get the information needed. The main aim of the survey was to find out if there is a difference between the middle schools with extended environmental education,middle schools without extra focus on environmental education and the vocational schools . The survey proved that there are significant differences among all of the types of schools.
"From Nature to the Studio". Use of Environmental Themes in Art Education at Primary School.

The diploma thesis deals with the possibilities and ways of connecting environmental and art education in the theoretical and the practical level. The introductory theoretical part approaches the environmental issues in terms of the general relationship of human to the landscape while reflecting the current environmental challenges. This general characteristic is followed by a search of natural currents and concepts of the environmental art, related as a key source of ideas and inspiration for the field of art education. The thesis continues with the analysis of the curricular documents and searching for the common goals and the thematic platforms for the application of the environmental and the ecological topics in the teaching of art education. The project part of the thesis documents the preparation and the realization of own art series with the environmental theme, realized with the pupils of the fifth class of primary school.
Cross-Curricular subjects in the teaching of mathematics at primary school

The diploma thesis presents the possibility of involving personal and social education, media education, environmental education, education towards thinking within European and global contexts, education of democratic citizen and multicultural education in the teaching of mathematics at secondary school. The diploma thesis is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part of this defines the concept of cross-curricular subjects, lists the ways of involvement in teaching, characterizes the individual cross-curricular subjects, including their inclusion in the educational area of Mathematics and its applications and their inclusion in current mathematics schoolbooks. It also describes the teaching methods used in the practical part. The practical part is focused on activities in the area of Mathematics and its applications, including cross-curricular subjects in various stages of the conceptual process. Each activity contains a methodology of work, worksheets are also inserted here. The last chapter contains an evaluation of the benefits of activities in practice.
The use of Natural Materials in Primary School Education

The theme of this diploma thesis is Natural materials in the subject of Craft at primary school (at the first level of the elementary village school). The aims and tasks of the diploma thesis are defined in the introduction. The theoretical part is devoted to concepts, goals and output competences in technical and environmental education at the first level. It deals with the description of well-known and lesser-known nature materials and the characteristics of various natural techniques when working with natural materials. The description of the elementary school in the village of Malonty is the integral part of the theoretical text. In the practical part, ten didactic themes for working with natural materials are proposed. Some of them were realized in practice and their effectiveness was verified through questionnaires for children.
