Analysis of Accounting Programmes Used in Communal Accountancy

This thesis focuses on accounting programs of municipalities. The theoretical part deals with a characteristic of basic territorial entities, accounting of municipalities, an importance of the accounting program and criteria for a choice of the accounting software. In the practical part are results of my research about accounting programs of municipalities. Furthermore are these programmes described and after that there is chosen the best program for the village Mnich by using a multicriterial evaluation of options.

Creation and application of financial and economic evaluation of a selected company

The aim of this bachelor thesis was to create a financial and economic evaluation system of a selected company. First, a general financial analysis was performed. The analysis also included comparison of cash flow with profit and financial health enumeration index. The analysis was completed with the EVA model. In order to determine if the purchase of shares in subsidiaries proved beneficial and analysis of multi-criteria evaluation of alternatives was performed. This analysis was then replaced with a simpler and more objective calculation of the net present value. In my bachelor thesis, I have used all the above-mentioned procedures to interpret current financial situation of the selected company.

Multiple criteria evaluation of alternatives support systems and their comparison

Multiple criteria decision making can be divided into two categories, concretely to multiple criteria evaluation of alternatives and multiple criteria programming. This bachelor thesis deals with the easier one -- multiple criteria evaluation of alternatives. Analysis of these problems is in general made with the use of software support, which is vital in these days. Range of this software is wide, whether it's MS Excel application, individual program or web-based application. Aim of submitted thesis is to try out this software. It also deals with brief description of these systems together with their comparison.

Multi-criteria Evaluation of Stocks Traded in Terms of DJIA on NYSE

The subject of the bachelor paper is multiple criteria analysis of stock traded in the framework of Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) index on New York Stock Exchange. The first part of theoretical passage deals with introduction of financial market focusing on stock markets. The second part is focused on describe the history and functioning of New York Stock Exchange and on introduction of DJIA index. The following part is devoted to the theoretical introduction of decision making theory and describing discrete methods in multiple criteria decision. The last part is about application of methods described in theoretical part to the specific shares belonging to DJIA index. The main goal of the paper represents a release of investment recommendation for a potential investor decided to insert his free financial resources into shares of DJIA index which are traded on New York Stock Exchange.

The goal of this paper is to explore a newly designed software support for solving multi-criteria decision-making problems -- IZAR, as well as to create a comprehensible manual for a common user interested in decision-making theory. IZAR is currently in a development stage; nevertheless, its available versions are already being used by operations research students. The first two sections of this thesis are focused on a brief introduction of all the solutions methods used in the current version of IZAR, while the third section is a practical user guide that includes examples of the problems and a comparative summary of different ways of their solution reached by the means of IZAR.

Optimization in MS Excel

This thesis describes a number of selected supplements to MS Excel from the perspective of users and their subsequent comparison with the help of multi-criteria evaluation of alternatives. Optimization in the world today is widely applied to various problems ranging from simple production problems to more complex problems, which are without using optimization software difficult to solve. Moreover, solving would take too much time. In this work are described and evaluated supplements for MS Excel because MS Office package is included in most of today's computers and many users have easy access to it. To do this, we set a number of criteria such as price, difficulty controlling and difficulty of installation, solving speed and range and possibilities of options for solving problems.

Multicriteria decision making in selecting employees

The aim of the work is the selection of individuals or groups of employees using the methods multicriteria evaluation of alternatives. First outline the issue of human resources and focusing specifically on the acquisition, selection and recruitment of employees. Then we move on the theory of decision making, testing of non-dominated solution and calculation of the Saaty's weights. We will describe in detail the methods: ORESTE, WSA, TOPSIS, ELECTRE I, ELECTRE III and Cook-Seiford method for the selection of the expert team. In other parts of the work of the above findings apply to a particular fictional example, carry out a comparison of the methods for the multicriteria evaluation of the alternatives and choose group of 10 candidates, to which we will use the group expert choice for group selection. At the conclusion we summarize the work and we determine the winning candidate or the winning group.

Multi-criteria evaluation of mortgages

The aim of this thesis is to find suitable mortgage, describe important criteria for comparison of mortgages and what types of mortgages the banks offer. The theoretical part of the thesis is divided into four parts. At first, I describe methods of determining the weights and methods of multi-criteria decision making. Then I focus on information about mortgage loan and about loan application process. In the third part I present variants and criteria and in the fourth I detect the best mortgage. I used WSA, TOPSIS, ELECTRE III and MAPPAC and add-on of Microsoft Excel - Sanna.

Preparation of a business project

The work describes the situation regarding the reconstruction of buildings on the Budovateľská street in Prešov and the creation of alternative options and possibilities for realization of the rebuilding. The best variant is chosen, based on the multicriterion evaluation of the variants, which was a main point of the work. For the winning variant a business plan was developed, including project schedule, analysis of financing, market and competition research, as well as pricing and marketing strategy. An important part of the plan was the financial plan, in which financial statements, such as balance sheet, income statement and cash flow statement were created. Another significant part was the risk analysis and the evaluation of the project by quantitative financial indicators.
