Zhodnocení přírůstků a výšky v kříži býků masných plemen na vybrané odchovně plemenných býků
Přikrylová, Monika
Thesis deals with the bulls performance testing of beef cattle raised on chosen performance test station. At first the brief introduction to this domain and the general characterization of individual beef breeds are given. Further, the intensity of growth and influencing factors are described. Next chapter focuses on feed and recommnended amount of nutrients. Last part of theorethical section is devoted to relevant farm welfare requirements that are set by the Czech Beef Breeders Association. The first goal of practical part is to examine performance of beef breeds of cattle during four studied periods. The stress is laid on evaluation of mass and height growth of beef bulls. The mathematical Methods of Statistics are used to compare performance and its deviation between studied breeds.
The comparison of fattening results of two beef breed bulls
VEITHOVÁ, Michaela
The aim of this bachelor thesis was to compare the growth ability of two beef breeds, namely Aberdeen Angus and Simmental. Monitoring was carried out on Pěčín Angus Farm led by Mr. Lepš, and data was obtained from 30 bulls, of which 17 were Aberdeen Angus and 13 were Simmental. During the first grazing season bulls were at pasture with their mothers, in winter they were housed in wintering, and from April they were at pasture again. Data for the period of two years was collected. The slaughter weight and age, average daily gain and net gain of bulls were detected. Bulls were classified by the year of birth and breed. Within the breed, the year of birth, the meatiness grade and fat cover classification grade (according to SEUROP classification system) were used as other selection criteria. The dates were processed in Microsoft Excel and Statsoft Statistica. In order to evaluate selected factors, basic statistical values were calculated (the number, the mean, the maximum and minimum, the standard deviation), statistical differences were calculated by t-test and F-test. The average weight of bulls born in 2011 was 744.6 kg and was reached at the age of 638 days. The average daily gain of these bulls was 1109.9 g. The average slaughter weight of bulls born in 2012 was lower (713.8 kg) and was reached later (691 days). The average daily gain of these bulls was 987.8 g. The difference in the average daily gain was statistically significant (P 0.01). Slaughter weight 733.3 kg at the age of 688 days and average daily gain of 1019.8 g was observed within group of Aberdeen Angus bulls. The slaughter weight 721.5 kg at the average slaughter age of 637 days was determined within group of Simmental bulls. Their average daily gain was 1077.8 g. The difference between breeds was statistically significant only in the slaughter age whereas Aberdeen Angus bulls were slaughtered 51 days later (688 vs 637 days, P 0.05). Aberdeen Angus bulls were classified as the "U" meatiness grade with an average slaughter weight of 753.0 kg. The bulls of the "R" meatiness grade had lower slaughter weight (703 kg). Simmental bulls of the "U" meatiness grade reached slaughter weight of 731.6 kg, whereas bulls included into the "R" meatiness grade had an average slaughter weight of 709.7 kg.
Performance comparison of selected populations of two breeds of rabitts
POUSTKA, Milan
The aim of the thesis was performance comparison of selected populations of two breeds of rabbits, the Moravian blue (Mm) and the Dutch rabbit (Ho), large and small breed of rabbit in fact. The monitored aspects were the production characters (growth and carcass yield) and reproduction characters (average numbers of birth, number of all births, live born and still-born births and number of weaning rabbits, ability of pregnancy, milkiness). Population of each of the breeds was monitored in a selected base of 68 litters of Moravian blue and 84 litters of Dutch rabbit. Both monitored breeds are recognized by the Czech Breeders Association as bred breeding and club breeding rabbits. Growth was monitored in regular intervals from birth until the end of fattening, i.e. until 8 months of age at Moravian blue a until 6 months of age at Dutch rabbit. The results were compared with the gain in weight published in pattern book of breeds. To evaluate milkiness, each of litters was weighed at 2 and 21 days of age. To compare the reproduction characters the monitored criteria were number of births, total natality and mortality and the number of raised births. The gained values of both breeds were compared and evaluated depending on increment of living mass and the fattening period. Carcass yield was monitored according to the traditional procedure of selected animals of average live weight and after reaching the slaughter age. The results show significantly higher gain in weight throughout the growth period of Dutch rabbit, than required by the pattern book of breeds. Moravian blue showed lower average increase of weight during the first five months of age from standard. The average number of rabbits in litter was 6,3 births at Moravian blue and 6,48 births at Dutch rabbit. On the other hand breeding succest and overall natality gave better results at Moravian blue. It has also been found that the milkiness of Moravian blue was 3985,4 grams in comparison with 2582,2 grams at Dutch rabbit, which is given by the size of breed. The slaughter analysis showed the carcass yield to be 56,1 % at Moravian blue and 62,4 % at Dutch rabbit, which is a value approaching meat breeds but at a lower meat production. The overall summary of the gained results showed greater production of living matter at Moravian blue rabbit providing greater demands for animal housing and feeding base. Its brood provides greater potential for growth and in some aspects better reproduction character. On the other hand, Dutch rabbit reached paradoxically more births in litter and higher carcass yield of undoubtedly better quality meat. Results of this thesis can be beneficial for choosing breed for novice breeders and for existing breeders it can help in their attempts to improve the strengths and eliminate the weaknesses of their breed.
Analysis of the production of broiler chickens on the farm Agro Čejetice
RIŠKOVÁ, Martina
Production of poultry meat in the Republic and in the world has upward trend. This is primarily due to the highly fattening ability, reproductive short interval, dietetic properties of meat and good efficiency of conversion of feed nutrients. Every year across the European Union is produced about 9,6 billion broiler chickens. Broiler chicknes are specialized type of chicken bred and consume for meat. In a global comparison of the largest share of the production of poultry meat is provided by the United States and countries of the European Union. Czech Republic belongs to the volume of production to less dynamically developing countries. Chicken meat is cheaper than the other kinds of meat and this has significantly increased its market share. This is due to the fact that chicken meat contains many valuable protein and its cuisine is very simple. The subject of the master thesis was to evaluate selected influences on increment of broiler chickens in the farm Agro Čejetice s.r.o. in a time sequence of five years (2008-2012). The thesis was focused on the index calculation and observation of the effectiveness of the fattening period during each batch and on detailed observation of growths and loss in each of the locations. Also on the consumption of KKS and link to average selling weight of chicks.
Evelution utility quality in chosen breed sheep
TOMEČKOVÁ, Andrea
The aim of my bachelor thesis was to evalue utility qualities in the selected breed of sheep. In my observation i focused on the intensity of growth in lambs, the influence of mothers age on their growth and on the number of youngs in the litter.
Effect of food on the success of development of selected species of cockroaches.
ŠIŠKOVÁ, Žaneta
The aim of this thesis was to find out whether selected types of food substrates affect the adult´s productivity, the weight of newborn nymphs and laid oothecas and whether changes in adult´s productivity and the weight of nymphs occur due to one source of food during the experiment. In this experiment, the Blaptica dubia, Nauphoeta cinerea and Schelfordella tartara species were used. The reason for selection of those species was their high rate of reproduction, undemanding breeding and a short period of growth. The experiment was conducted in six types of feed substrates. The cockroaches were kept at a room temperature. The scales accurate to 0,2 g were used for the determination of the weight (AVINET). The Blaptica dubia species proved the dependence of its adults´ productivity and nymphs´ weight on the month of observation and the dependence of nymphs´ growth on a feed. The Nauphoeta cinerea species proved the dependence of nymphs´ growth on a feed. The Schelfordella tartara species proved the dependence of its adults´ productivity and oothecas´ weight on a feed and on the month of observation. The results of this thesis could emphasize the importance of the influence of a feed on the life of cockroaches breeded in captivity and help breeders to their better results with regard to the selection of a suitable food.

Production of poultry meat in the Republic and in the world has upward trend. This is primarily due to the highly fattening ability, reproductive short interval, dietetic properties of meat, good efficiency of conversion of feed nutrients and by independences food production of soil. Every year across the European Union is produced about 5.9 billion broiler chickens. The subject of my bachelor´s dissertation was to develop a literature search and analysis of broiler production in the farm Čejetice Agro Ltd. Collection of input data was realised in chronological period of 3 years (2008-2010). The dissertation is focused on the gains of broiler chickens and the consumption of complete feed in this company.
The growth of valaška lambs
JENÍČKOVÁ, Jana
The aim of my diploma work was to evaluate the gains in weight of Walachian lambs based on origin of individual groups of ewes and paternal lines. Based on distribution in accordance with origin of mothers we can say that the biggist weights dutiny weight checks had lambs coming from eves imported from Germany. When comparing average gains in weight in accordance with paternal lines, there is evidence of prevailing bigger achieved weights of Juráš line.
Utilization of cereals on suplementary carp feeding on Ponds Fishery Lomnice nad Lužnicí
EISERT, Zdeněk
Theme of my Diploma work refers about possibility of feeding up the common carp with the cereal food in the ponds. Research was monitor on 4 ponds in Naděje ponds system. The ponds have 2,4 ha together. Three of them were used for research and fourth pond was for control. This control pound had only a natural food. During the research was every year plant into the ponds 363 carps type (K 3) for 1 ha and after fish out was this sort K 4. For the research were very pilot fish outs. Fish out carp were for weight, length of the body and perimeter of the body monitoring. This data was use for a statistics evaluation. Feeding run 3 days in a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) in a day ration 2 % of the fish weight in a pound.
