Domestic violence and primary care. Domestic violent is the most frequent form of violence. But it is also the least observed and the most underestimated form of domestic abuse. It often refers to physical violence, sexual and emotional abuse between spouses that occurs hidden away and does not draw attention of others despite the intesifying abusive behaviour of a family member. The victim feels humiliated and distressed and suffers from a high level of fear. The theoretical part of my thesis gives the definition of domestic violence, its forms and causes. Other issues within the context of domestic violence are also addressed: characteristics of persons commiting domestic violence, medical care and assistance rendered to victims of domestic violence, primary care, the role of a nurse in identification of domestic violence, administrative measures relevant to domestic violence. The practical part of my thesis examines the role of a nurse in treatment of a victim of domestic violence. The aim of the research was to learn if nurses often come into contact with such patients and have enough information on the issue. I suggested 3 hypotheses to be confirmed or rejected. The information was obtained by a quantitative research in the form of questionnaires handed out to nurses working at general practitioners´, pediatricians´ and gynaecologists´ offices. The hypothesis I was rejected, hypotheses II and III were confirmed. The conclusions of the research show that nurses get into contact with the victims of domestic violence but do not have access to enough information on the issue to be able to treat them properly.

The Offender of Domestic Violence

Bachelor´s Thesis The aim of myBachelor´s thesis is to try to describe problem of domestic violence and to analyse the possibilities of prevention in the range of domestic violence not only on the level of single person, family, working group, social group but even non-profit-making organization and national institution and state agencies dealing with the protection and help of the victims of domestic violence operating in České Budějovice territory. Theoretical part of my bachelor´s thesis determines fundamental terms and causes for rise of domestic violence characteristics of personality of the victim and offender, institutions which provide help the victims and possible ways of prevention of domestic violence. There is in practical part of bachelor´s thesis according to results by evaluation of question-forms from questioned persons of small research connected to problem of prevention of domestic violence found out and based on statistic datas made analyse of appearance and character of domestic violence in particular groups of České Budějovice inhabitants. On the basis of the results that were found out are determined the ways of utilization possible prevention remedies that should prevent of the rise or continue domestic violence to its victims. It is all mentioned at the end of my bachelor´s thesis.

Life in an azylum house from the point of view of a client

I deal with need of azylum houses for mothers with children in my bachelor work. Conception of azylum house and standards of quality of social servise are defined in the preambule of my thesis. There is also a reference about the position of fathers like single breadwinners of the family. I write there about the reasons leading to homelessis of women, too. I have been engaged in conditions occuring in azylum houses as well as in acts adjusting rights of children in the third part of my thesis. At the end of the thesis I have described women looking for this kind of help. In my research I discovered that clients are altogether satisfied in azylum house and wants to solve their situation by finding their own accomodation.

GLOBAL ANALYSE OF THE STATUS OF LONESOME MOTHERS IN EMERGENCY CONDITIONS

The bachelor thesis deals with issue of lonesome mothers in emergency conditions. It is splitted in two sections. The theoretic section describes the term ``lonesome mother{\crqq} and points out that the number of half-families rises fast all the time. There are given information on threatened family types and the risky parts of their lives. Furthemore the thesis deals with particular reasons, which often cause loneless mothers{\crq} difficulties. It describes the causes as a disease, job loss, long-term unemployment, current divorce or domestic agression, from which the woman or her children suffer. Considering the broad issue, the domestic agression was given most part of the theoretic section. There is state the list of the most significant Czech organizations which provide aid to mothers in emergency conditions at the end of that part. The research which is focused on the monitoring lonesome mothers{\crq} health and social situation is described in the practical section. Questioning was used as a research method, questionnaire as a technique. The sample is created of lonesome mothers in emergency conditions {--} lady clients of sanctuary houses.

Domestic Violence Victims Care at Diocesan Charity České Budějovice

Main theme of the thesisis a domestic violence issue, specifics of this social-pathologic fact and domestic violence victims needs for expert assistance. Abstract part of the thesis describes domestic violence, its difference from other sorts of aggression. Futher the thesis describes ministerial care if victims, covers clerical marriage issue of married couples who live in separation, eventually nullity of marriage. The last section of the abstract part characterizes charitable care, Diocesan charity České Budějovice and its two projects which focus on help for home violence victims in South Bohemian region. Practical part of thesis examines the charakteristic of the provided services of charitable projects: Centre for women and young Women in nedd EVA and Support centre of crisis help for home violence victims.

Health and social situacion of Women exposed to Domestic Abuse.

Domestic violence involving women in relationships is no longer a private issue. Resolving this problem of domestic violence has spread from private non-profit organizations to state institutions. In 2006 a law for protection against domestic violence was passed and it also gives authorities a right to move a violent person out of their house. Raising awareness has become a priority for regional education of the public and media campaigns. Besides policemen, it' s also doctors, the first professionals, who can be asked for help by victims. These doctors can recognize domestic violence by visible injuries or be the symptoms evident from maltreatment. The target of this essay was to see the approach of doctors to women effected by domestic violence in the Kromeriz region and to find how well-informed they are about the help to these women in interdisciplinary teams. The theoretical part investigates the characteristics of intimate partner violence and its impact on health and social situation of abused women. It also describes the possibilities of help for victims, legislative arrangements and also the importance of doctors work in inter-regional cooperation. The practical part contains the analyses of quantitative research done by a request method by questionnaire technique, that was filled in by chosen doctors in the Kromeriz region. From this investigation follow that almost three quarters of respondents were asked by abused women but less than half of them cooperates with organizations intended to help victims of domestic violence. The enlightenment of the public is seen by doctors as necessary but underestimated. This also demonstrated the connection with a situation that the education of the public is not done almost in two thirds of doctors offices. This essay can be used to raise awareness of the general and especially the specialized public by educational seminars for doctors, nurses and can be published in special news letters and brochures.

Domestic violence and social work with the vietims of the domestic violence

This work deals with domestic violence, one kind of aggressive behaviour. Standard definitions concerning the problem of domestic violence are given in a theoretical part. There are also characterized the key aspects of perpetrators` and victims` personalities. The main part is dedicated to social work with the victims of domestic violence. The practical part deals with the impact of the law no 135/2006 on the protection against domestic violence (ordering sb out, intervention centres).

Crime perpetrated against seniors

The issue of violence against seniors is a major concern in many developed countries. The elderly are among the demographic groups that are most at risk. This group is growing because the population is generally getting older. Each year, hundreds of seniors in the Czech Republic become victims of crime. Within the bounds of quantitative research, I chose the methods of controlled dialogue, model casuistry and secondary data analysis. The issues seniors face are becoming more and more prominent and pressing; they demand a solution. Education about how to protect themselves and their property is an important tool, which helps to minimalize the perpetration of criminal offences against seniors.
