Domestic violence from the view of an adolescent
BURIANOVÁ, Jana
Domestic violence from the view of an adolescent I consider the domestic violence to be one of the cruellest abuses of a man to another man, above all for the reason it happens between close people. It is scary, that in the place, where one should feel the most safely, it comes to a violence and harm. The domestic violence occurs everywhere, regardless the social status, education, age, sex etc. This thesis is focused on adolescents, because I am interested in the fact what information and views they have and how much they are interested in the problem of the domestic violence. Then I focused a part of the thesis on an opinion of adolescents on the corporal punishment during the upbringing. The punishments in the upbringing are increasingly becoming a more discussed and hot topic and there are many different opinions on them. The theoretical part was aimed for relevant information related to the domestic violence and the upbringing. A main goal of the thesis was to map an awareness of adolescents on the issue of the domestic violence; a partial goal was to find out their views on the corporal punishments in the upbringing. At the same time the thesis examined two advanced hypotheses. An interrogation method by the help of questionnaires was chosen to verify the hypotheses. They were addressed to adolescents aged from 17 to 20 years old studying the region of the Bohemian Highland. The research sample for the data collecting consisted of 168 respondents in total. The hypothesis No. 1 supposed that girls have a greater knowledge about the issue of the domestic violence than boys. This hypothesis was confirmed. The hypothesis No. 2 supposed that adolescents do not agree with physical punishments in the upbringing. The hypothesis No. 2 was not confirmed. Respondents largely agree with the corporal punishments, if they are reasonable (a slap) or earned. The bachelor thesis offers current data on the domestic violence, awareness and opinions of the adolescents. It points out where it is necessary to increase the awareness of the adolescents on the domestic violence issues. The thesis can be used by a professional and lay public, which is interested in the domestic violence and it can be a basis for further studies or researches in that area.
The importance of state and independent organizations in help to domestic violence victims.
VITOUŠOVÁ, Vendula
The theme of my Bachelor Thesis is "Importance of the Governmental and Nongovernmental Institutions in Help to the Victims of Domestic Violence." The Thesis consists of theoretical and practical parts. The latter is divided in five chapters. The first chapter defines the concept of domestic violence and describes the basic signs and forms important to recognize this phenomenon. Furthermore you can find here the most common myths and the characteristics of those involved in the domestic violence. Last but not the least; the work refers to the interdisciplinary cooperation. The second chapter describes the consequences the victims can face. The third chapter aims at granting assistance to the nongovernmental institution. Another chapter presents the relevant legal regulations of the Czech Republic, and the last one concentrates on the institutional actors, especially the police, court and the body of social and legal protection of children. The practical part concentrated on three aims. So as to fulfil the first one ``Confrontation of the Competence and Possible Measures of the Governmental and Nongovernmental Institutions Used in Protection of Those Endangered by the Domestic Violence{\crq}q, we chose the quality research and the technique of semi-structured interview. The research sample was made up by three representatives of governmental and three of nongovernmental institutions; eight questions were set in all. The last, eighth question gave an answer to the third aim {--} whether all the specialists had been trained sufficiently. So as to reach the second aim, we also chose the quality research and the technique of telephone interview. In this case, the research sample was made up by six victims. The Appendix contains the list of the information centres; there are fifteen of them within the Czech Republic at present. Moreover, the Appendix includes the Safety Plan and the statistics of the White Circle of Safety for the year 2009. On the basis of the research we set the hypotheses which are described in the chapter of Discussion. The Thesis aims were fulfilled. The Thesis might be a source both for the general public and those endangered by the domestic violence. I believe that there are a lot of inspiring and important information for the specialists in this problem.

POSTRÁNECKÁ, Hana
The subject I have chosen for my bachelor thesis is ?The Questions of Explaining Domestic Violence?. This bachelor thesis aims to define problems in the course of the explanation of domestic violence, and at the same time, to find out specific aspects in the explanation of domestic violence. The first chapter of the theoretical part deals with the definition of the term of domestic violence and the characteristics of the victim and the offender. It further deals with the forms, kinds, specifics and causes of domestic violence, the questions of battered woman syndrome and Stockholm syndrome. The next chapter deals with criminology point of view of criminal offences related to domestic violence and its explanation. The chapter involves criminal activity, the specifics of its explanation and typical motives, the questions of testimony and cooperation with experts in terms of domestic violence. The following chapter deals with the activity of institutional participants of domestic violence, who are mainly criminal proceedings bodies, intervention centre and a body of social and legal protection of children. The last chapter is focused on legislation. For the practical part, I have set the main objective: ?to define problems in the course of the explanation of domestic violence?. I have also set two partial objectives: ?to find out specific aspects of explanation of domestic violence? and ?to find out the extent assistance provided by the institution in the course of explanation of domestic violence.? To fulfil the objectives I used the qualitative research method along with the semi-standardised interview technique. Six experts were asked seven questions when data were collected. To obtain informative data, I addressed experts working in state and non-state institutions who deal with domestic violence. Drawing on my research, I laid down hypotheses that are described in the chapters Discussion and Conclusion. The main objective is answered by Hypothesis 1: ?The most frequent problems in the explanation of domestic violence are high latency, long-term maltreatment, crime scene, insufficiency of the body of evidence, lack of cooperation from the victim and the specifics of the victim?. The objectives of the thesis were fulfilled. The thesis can be used for a further development of interdisciplinary assistance to persons threatened by domestic violence and prevention development. Further, the thesis can be used in lessons for assisting workers.

Within the first year of that Act operating, there were the least banished offenders v. s. number of inhabitants, just in the Pilsen Region and there were the most ones in the Moravia-Silesian Region. The theoretical work part describes forms of violence in the family, historical relationship of violent actions with women, possibilities how to prevent them or advised help measures to victims of domestic violence. Further, it is focussed on a legislative solution of that problem area in the Czech Republic and some of European countries or the USA as well. The practical work part involves results of a quantity research that was aimed to discovery of public awareness of the Intervention Centres. The research was performed by method of questioning in a way of a questionnaire. The research was focussed on consciousness of general public relating to domestic violence, whether the research respondents have ever met that phenomenon or what is their opinion on information effectiveness of the problem area. The research demonstrated low awareness of the Intervention Centres of inhabitants in both regions. However, most respondents know what domestic violence is.
