SVOBODA, Jiří
Eating disorders mostly appears in adolescent girls and young women. They usually have a chronic course, serious mental, somatic and social consequences. Anorexia nervosa remains a highly morbid condition with the highest mortality of any other psychiatric disorder. The aim of the survey is to find the symptoms of eating disorders among 288 young girls age 13-15 from the Ceske Budejovice and to obtain prevalence rate of eating disorders. The author wants to verify hypothesis which presumes that the prevalence rate of eating disorders is 1-6%. Obtained information were acquired by anonymous questionnaires EAT-26. In our research the author found 19 girls with 20 or more points in EAT-26 questionnaire.

NUSKOVÁ, Oldřiška
Application of the possibilities to prevent breast carcinoma in women as a nursing issue. Four objectives were set for the bachelor thesis Application of the possibilities to prevent breast carcinoma in women as a nursing issue. Objective 1: To ascertain the application of nursing interventions focused on the prevention of breast carcinoma in women within the scope of primary care. Objective 2: To ascertain what information about the risk factors of breast carcinoma development the nurses provide to women within the scope of primary care. Objective 3: To identify any obstacles that keep women from utilising a possibility of breast carcinoma prevention. Objective 4: To ascertain the reasons which make women to see a doctor when they have an advanced breast carcinoma. Four research questions were raised. 1. Which nursing interventions do the nurses apply in the prevention of breast carcinoma in women within the scope of primary care? 2. What information about the risk factors of breast carcinoma development do the nurses provide to women within the scope of primary care? 3. What obstacles keep women from utilising the possibilities of breast carcinoma prevention? 4. What reasons make women to see a doctor when they have an advanced breast carcinoma? The research set comprised two groups of respondents. The first research set consisted of six nurses working at primary care facilities in České Budějovice. The second research set consisted of eight women who were treated for breast carcinoma at the oncology ward of Nemocnice České Budějovice, a.s. The interviews with the respondents were conducted using the technique of a non-standardised interview based on questions prepared in advance. Based on the interview analysis, the research questions have been answered. It has also followed from the research that the nurses apply nursing interventions in the prevention of breast carcinoma in women and inform women about the risk factors of breast carcinoma development only if they know about the genetic load of breast carcinoma in the family of particular women or if they are asked by women. The application of nursing interventions in the prevention of breast carcinoma in women within the scope of primary care could be reached through educational aids for the nursing staff and executed projects focused on targeted preventive care and timely detection of breast carcinoma.
Centre for conditional of kardiology patients
MATOUŠKOVÁ, Monika
ABSTRACT This diploma thesis is focused on cardiac fitness and rehabilitation centres. The reason why I have made this choice for my thesis was the fact that despite all recommendations of professional associations dealing with cardiovascular disease issues, adherence to secondary prevention and treatment regimen measures is absolutely poor also in patients who had been given superior and costly care during their acute medical condition. Adherence to secondary prevention guidelines includes treatment regimens and measures to reduce risk factors. Theoretical part of the thesis lists risk factors highly involved in coronary diseases. An integral part in maintaining good physical condition of cardiac clients is residential spa treatment and following care in cardiac fitness and rehabilitation canters. Involvement of nurses in care for patients with coronary diseases would be just in the area of secondary care and regimen measure adherence. Use of their competencies and joining non-medical facilities addressing this issue could improve the gaps in secondary prevention. The goal of this thesis was to map out the patient requirements for cardiac fitness and rehabilitation centers within secondary prevention. To determine the difference in secondary prevention effectiveness between clients visiting cardio clubs and clients living in location without any cardio club. Another goal was to research the connectivity of cardiac clients in the follow-up care after their discharge from ward departments and possibilities of cardio clubs and in cardio club management, to find out the possibility to involve a nurse in cardiac client care. Qualitative research with semi-structured interviews and quantitative research relied on a questionnaire have been used in this study. Research group consisted of healthcare professionals and cardiac patients. Goals of the thesis have been met, research questions answered and hypotheses confirmed. The results can be served as a base for establishment of other cardiac fitness and rehabilitation centers and involvement of nurses. Output of this thesis is an encouragement for general nurses and can be used in risk factors of coronary diseases.
Cerebrovascular Accident and Subsequent Resocialization
DVOŘÁKOVÁ, Tereza
This thesis is focused on resocialisation of persons after cerebrovascular accident - stroke. In this research I have focused concretely on interviews with people who had experienced a stroke. The thesis is divided into a theoretical part and a practical part. The theoretical part deals with anatomical-physiological basis of stroke, risk factors, disease characteristics, symptoms, causes, first aid, the description of different types of stroke and comprehensive rehabilitation, specifically with medical, social, pedagogical and working means of rehabilitaion. In the practical part methods and techniques of qualitative research were used. The questioning method and the semi-structured interview technique were applied. The target group was 10 people who had experienced a stroke. Interviews were processed into case studies - case reports. In the case studies, information from people who had undergone the disease was summarized. The aim of my thesis was to determine and compare the opportunities for selected social groups to return to normal life after a stroke. In the discussion, the obtained information was summarized and hypotheses arising from the research were presented. The supposed use of my thesis could be mapping possibilities of resocialization for persons who have suffered a stroke. The thesis could contribute to the quality improvement of education in this subject and also to help educate the public. Other possibilities how to make use of this thesis are to create a procedure that could be applied in resocialization of persons after stroke.

The Risks of Working as a Nurse
GENGELOVÁ, Gabriela
The work of nurses in health care is often physically and psychologically demanding. Some inpatient departments have specific labor conditions and from them come risks. Nurses are continuously exposed to the risk of injury, infection, but also stress caused by their work. These labor-related risks can cause disorders on health or cause labor-related diseases. Therefore, it is necessary to reduce workload, stress, psycho-social risks and pay special attention to preventive measures and keep sanitary-epidemiological behavior. This Bachelor thesis called ?Risks of Nurse´s Labor? is divided into two parts. The theoretical part strives to summarize the risks of a nurse?s work focusing on preventive measures related to particular risks. Results of this survey are processed in the research part of this thesis. During the survey I used a quantitative method of data collection ? by using a questionnaire. The research file was created by nurses working in Internal and Neurological departments and a Residential facility for chronically ill patients in the Hospital České Budějovice, a.s. and in the University Hospital in Plzeň. In the Bachelor´s thesis 2 objectives and 3 related hypotheses have been set. The objectives were fulfilled and hypotheses were either verified or rejected. The author was trying to find out what nurses regard as the highest risks in clinically focused workplaces and what preventive measures are applied with respect to perceived risks. From the results come out that nurses regard being stung by an infected needle as the highest risk in the workplace. Preventive measures are applied in a limited scope.
