Predictions of financial distress of a company through financial analysis methods

The subject of this thesis is Četrans a.s. financial analysis using a bankruptcy and yield models. The aim of this work is to determine if is possible to predict Četrans bankruptcy using financial analysis methods. In the theoretical part I pursue the properties, division and utilize of particular ratios and models. In the practical part, the values of ratios and models are specified. At the end, I follow the causes of potential bankruptcy and items that could affect the ratios, models results and firm progress.
Financial analysis of the company Starobrno, a.s - application of the bankruptcy and bonity models

Financial analysis of the beer producer Starobrno, a.s aims at assessing the financial situation, stability, liquidity and profitability of this company. The paper employs standard methods and tools for the assessment of financial health; it also provides the application of the bankruptcy and bonity models. The analysis is based on the publicly available information. It uses statutory information published by the company, such as Annual Reports. The paper concludes with the assessment and interpretation of the results.
Assessment of the explanatory power of models

The object of this paper is the application of solvency models and bankruptcy prediction models on two companies and assessment whether the models are capable of correctly classifying both companies. Models are used on companies Hartmann-Rico a.s., which is in good financial-economic situation, and Pliva-Lachema a.s., which was threatened by bankruptcy and from 1st January 2010 is in liquidation. The first part is devoted to the issue at the theoretical level. In the second part is this issue applied on both companies and is evaluated with which accuracy the companies were rated by different models. The conclusion will be assessed the explanatory power of models.
Financial analysis of the company

The bachelor thesis contains financial analysis of the company Českomoravská stavební společnost s.r.o. In the methodical part, there are explained financial statements, particular indicators (horizontal and vertical analysis, ratio indicators) and also their systems in bankruptcy and credibility models (Altman model, Index IN95, Taffler model, Kralicek quicktest). In practical part, the calculations of these indicators and models are performed. The results are interpreted.

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to evaluate financial situation of Měšťanský pivovar Strakonice, a.s. The work is divided into 2 parts. The first part deals with methodical aspect of financial analysis, it contains the theoretical importance of financial analysis, the sources of information for financial analysis, particular indicators and complex bankruptcy and credibility models. In the second part these methods are applied on the analyzed company and I try to interpret the resulting values.

The main aim of this thesis is to review the economic situation of Czech Airlines Company in period from 2002 till 2008. The thesis is divided into two main parts. The first theoretical part includes the explanation of basic financial analysis methods, such as horizontal and vertical analysis of financial statements, analysis of ratio indicators, working capital analysis etc. Practical part applies these methods to the company. Creditworthy and bankruptcy models analyse the complex assessment of the financial situation. The end of the thesis summarizes financial analysis results and includes recommendation for the management.

This bachelor thesis is focused on assessing the explanatory power of selected bonity and bankruptcy models in terms Czech foundry industry. Bonity model is expresing comlex level of bonity and financial standing in enterprises. Bankruptcy models can predict a potential decline in business and potencial bancrupcy of eterprises.Assesment of explanatory value of these models is based on a critical comparison of the results of applied bonity and bankruptcy models in two foundry companies, one of which is prosperous, and the second of the selected companies has serious financial problems and has achieved bankruptcy.

The subject of the processed work on theme analysis of the company in distress is a business Olšanské papírny a.s. which has entered bankruptcy proceeding on 2.19. 2009. The aim of the work was to determine whether the methods of financial analysis can predict the fall of business in the future. The work consists of a theoretical part, which is a description of the methods used in the practical part and includes definitions of business in distress and division of system of ratio indicators according to their properties as well. The second, practical part, briefly describes the company and analyzes the various methods of financial analysis applied to a particular company. It also includes a table of individual bankrupt models with probabilities that predict bankruptcy of a company and graphical inter-company comparison with sector through the Spider analysis.

An external financial analysis of Rudolf Jelínek company is theme of this dissertation. Dissertation is divided into two parts: the theoretical and the practical one. The theoretical part contains explanation and substantiation of the chosen indicators and explanation of the usage of enter data. The practical part contains horizontal and vertical analysis, indicators of profitability, liquidity, activity, indebtedness and failure models. The found results and trends of particular indicators are analysed and commented.
