Vegetation and carbon gas dynamics under a changed hydrological regime in central European peatlands
URBANOVÁ, Zuzana
The effect of drainage and restoration on the ecology of different types of peatlands in the Šumava Mountains was investigated. The study was focused primarily vegetation dynamics, carbon gas fluxes and their linkages under the affected hydrological regimes.
Revitalization of major drainage facilities and technically modified streams in agricultural landscape managed by ZVHS.
ŠTĚPÁN, Vladimír
The aim of this work is to describe the revitalization of the water, its development, possibilities and patterns as measures that are aimed to improve the hydrological stability of farmed land disturbed inappropriate water structures, such as the amelioration and technical flow adjustments. There are also described specific examples of restoration measures for streams in the scope of Agricultural water management. Examples were selected to illustrate a different approach and different options for the revitalization plan of the watercourse. Implementation of rehabilitation measures have been addressed in every workplace in a similar manner, but had a different course, and their specific problems.
Examples of road networks considering water retention and accumulation in rural and settled zones.
MARKOVÁ, Dana
This bachelor thesis' s main purpose is to earmark suitable examples of road networks considering water retention and accumulation both in rural and settled zones. The background research in this thesis presents theoretical survey about road networks in the cohesion with water. This research has been composed from the open sources, most of them valid technical standards and from the recommended literature. The second part of thesis includes demonstration focused on documentation of road networks already realized in compliance with technical knowledge contained in the background research (braced field road in the cadastre land Skřípov, Prostějov county; field roads including drains in the cadastre land Chotěbudice; main drain including road drain along the filed road C5 in cadastre land Vojnice).
Proposal for a cycling trail in the vicinity of Kamenný Újezd village
DOBNEROVÁ, Karla
The main objective of my thesis was to project a design of a concrete chosen section of the cycling trail in the vicinity of the village of Kamenný Újezd, which is located in Southern Bohemia, south-west of České Budějovice. I propose two alternative cycling trails in accordance with the applicable standards, laws and technical conditions. A better alternative in terms of transport, economy, ecology and aesthetics, I elaborated to the phase of documentation for the notification of the construction of road according to Decree 104/1997 Sb.. In the project, I propose a direction solution, vertical solutions, width layout, road construction, earthworks, drainage, equipment and traffic signs. I analyzed property relations in the proposed cycling route and existing bicycle trails in the given locality. I suggested a cycling communication, which is multifunctional, therefore not only used by cyclists but also pedestrians, in-line skaters, and when appropriate, for occasional agricultural transport.
Methods of runoff components separation
KUBEŠ, Ondřej
The paper deals with monitoring and measurement of runoff. This is particularly important to identify water supplies in the catchment area, or timely detection of extreme hydrological events such as floods and droughts, and because of the potential rate of spread of pollutants. The value of the runoff is particularly important for irrigation needs for agriculture. Further work is focused on the individual components of runoff, the methods used for their separation and a detailed description of various types of runoff. The practical part includes measurement of the discharge at the Jennínsky stream catchment, located near the border with Austria, the Český Krumlov district. For analyses discharge from the hydrological years 2005 ? 2008 was chosen. And using the three selected methods of separation (method GROUND, method and method MPGM digital filter according to Chapman), which are further described and explained. These methods divide runoff into the baseflow component and direct runoff component. These results are further compared with the method of reccesion curve analyses performed on four events. The work should show the differences in results of various methods.
Influence of melioration and landscape management on flooding situation in the village of Mnich at Kardašova Řečice
JANEČEK, Karel
Abstract: Near the village of Mnich at Kardašova Řečice the agricultural land has been ameliorated and the creek bed of Mnišský stream in the section above the village has been technically modified. This text describes melioration measures realized and their impact on the flow conditions of the site. This text also describes and assesses the development of options proposed flood protection of this village.
Geodetical detection of soil horizont subsidence in tile drainet areas.
PICHLÍKOVÁ, Jana
The goal of my work is to verify the effectiveness of various methods of collecting geodetic data in order to locate the decline of soil horizont in the dewatered areas.
Concept of the revitalization of Nature Reserve Kapličky peat bog and continual monitoring of water regime and vegetation
PAVELCOVÁ, Lenka
The "Rašeliniště Kapličky" Nature Reserve is situated in the eastern part of the Šumava Mts. The reserve contains different peatland vegetation types - ombrogenous and transition bog parts. The area was partly drained due to extensive mining, pasturing and forestry in the past There are variously old drainage canals now. My thesis contains (i) the evaluation of groundwater table fluctuation and its relationship to vegetation composition and the drainage intensity and (ii) the evaluation of plant species composition in differently drained parts of the peatbog. There was strong relationship between actual groundwater table and precipitation, especially in drained areas, the diversity and the occurrence of expansive species were also related to groundwater table. A map of dranaige network inside the peatbog (1 : 3 500) and vegetation map (1 : 4 000) in the ArcMap programme for GIS environment were constructed. In the most drained part of the area the revitalisation measure was proposed {--} installation of wooden dams for blocking of drainage system.
Zhodnocení dlouhodobého vývoje chemismu vody Stropnice v úseku Údolí u Nových Hradů - Petříkov
Čeřovská, Kateřina ; Pokorný, Jan
Evaluation of long term development of chemical parameters of Stropnice river. In: Pithart,D.: Ecology of alluvial oxbows Natural floodplain (c. 800 ha) of Stropnice river near town Nové Hrady was drained and converted into agricultural land in 1980s. The natural meandring stream was straightened and deepened about 2m under the soil surface level. A high profile of flood plain soil was exposed to mineralisation and water flow from the region was accelerated. Data on water chemistry and flow rates collected before and after the drainage were evaluated. Alkalinity, conductivity, concentrations of base cations have increased after drainage which supports hypothesis that drainage accelerates matter losses from the landscape.
